Kill.Switch (PS2)
Genuinely tense FPS that had me chewing the controller.
ummm, Kill.Switch was a third-person shooter.
i'm pretty mad that it didn't get any credit for inventing the modern cover system.
My bad. I'm getting it confused with another game that was FPS that Iwas playing around the same time...it might have been Cold Winter...

Also, The Operative: No One Lives Forever was a sod of a lot of fun.

Sacrifice for the PC. Look it up.

And please, for god's sake, nobody mention Shadow of the Colossus or Okami.
Sacrifice was BOSS.

Anyway, let's see

Deathrow(Xbox)

and, you ready for this. Greatest game ever made goes to

Felix the Cat(NES)

oh yeah, that just happened
Ah Deathrow; good times.

My vote goes for Call of Cthlulu: Dark Corners Of The Earth. Loved it.

I'll also give a nod to Braid.

Fight Night 3

I realise its an EA sports game but honestly this is the best fighting game I've ever played. Its deep, strategic, doesn't require learning abstract button combinations, is very button mashing proof and has much more interesting defending mechanisms then just hit x to block.

Okay sure it has some balancing issues (power guys have a massive advantage over speed guys) and the instant replays can look a little dodgy but I wish other fighting games would look at this, learn something and try some basic game play mechanics that aren't ten years old.

I don't particularly want to be accused of stroking the Psychonauts' cat anymore than it already has but Psychonauts is something in particular I like to rave about.

Rez is a crowning champion of gaming design and ingenuity.

Another World brings back warm fuzzy memories of the MegaDrive.

Gunstar Heroes - One of the only games I completed with a friend of mine and immediately after the credits rolled we went back to the beginning to do it all over again.

Shining Force, not underappreciated but still one of the only examples of how RPGs should be done.

Comix Zone was imaginative, creative and a necessary part of the 90's.

And finally Blazing Dragons for the Saturn - brilliant biting British wit at its best.

I'm surprised no one has said this yet, but No More Heroes.
But was No More Heroes necessarily under-rated? I was under the impression that it was actually well received by the Wii community.

I've gotten about 400 hours of gameplay from Star Ocean: The Second Story. I got the game for $5 at Blockbuster in the used games bin when I was 9 years old, and I didn't actually understand how to play the game until I was 13. And just think, in two years, 16 days (2%) of my life was dedicated to the game.

Best game I've ever played.

That Kellogs computer game that came with Frosties ten years ago. xD

Sure it was a rip-off of Sonic and you got to play as Tony, Snap, Crackle orr Pop and the Coco Pops monkey but it was FUN and I think it was the very first game I ever played.
Man I'd like to play that again...

Kirby's Air ride was off the fucking chain but everyone else I know thought it was shit.
I liked it, it's hard to find a racing game that isn't under the impression that all gamers want ultra-realism.

How about Pokémon Snap?
