What is your favorite underrated RTS? mine is Warzone 2100, a little known title that had just about everything you needed in a RTS to make one happy. what is yours?

Maybe not underrated, but Mega-Lo-Mania on the Amiga. Seriously enjoyed that game.

Would Populous: The Beginning count? I'm not sure how underrated it is, but I absolutely loved it.

While not a true RTS in the usual sense, I very much prefer TA:Spring above all else. Fantastic community-developed engine that is only getting better and, not surprisingly (being community developed after all) has the cleanest UI I've ever seen, the most customization, constant updates, etc.

It's all you could want in an RTS. Especially if you played Total Annihilation way back when.

The effort i have put in just trying to get spring working for me was worth what little i played of it, it's pretty much total annihilation except better.

It worked for me right off the bat. Never gave me any grief, really.

And yes, it is TA only better IF you play that particular mod. There are so many other mods out there, some space-based, some ground-based (like TA) but with other units, most just rebalances (way too many of those, I say).

I find myself only playing NOTA lately. Lotsa fun, that one.

No way man, gotta go back...Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds is still one of my favorite RTSs. Maybe that's because it was the first RTS I ever got really into, but still, it's a classic.

Your point? EaW is still awesome, but yet mostly ignored.
Yeah, no point really, just made me remember SW:GB. EaW seems like a good one to me, though I've never played it myself.

Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders.

Far as I know, nobody but me bought that game. A shame, because it's fantastic. You can control the leader when his troop enters melee. :D
