Yeah, I agree with most of the people here in that the Resident Evil 4 merchant is the coolest merchant hands down. Also I have watched many of RoccoB64's videos and they are very good.

The merchant in Spelunky. This guy does not fuck around.

I tried to steal an item from him one time, I think it was a bag of bombs. He then proceeded to chase me through the stage with a shotgun shouting "terrorist!" till he gunned me down. Eventually I killed one of them merchants, got all his items and his one-hit-kill shotgun! I was pretty happy till I realized that all his buddies were gunning for me now, shooting on sight and setting up traps around the exits. I must repeat: this guy does not fuck around.
I've never played of heard of Spelunky before but it does look quite fun. Anyway the Merchant from that game sounds kind of like the merchant from Link's Awakenining, which if you steal from him and go back into the shop he blasts you with an electrical blast that kills you instantly. That is why he gets second on my list for the most awesome merchant ever.

Ha, it's been so long since I've played that game. Fairly sure it's my favorite Zelda.

I recommend Spelunky, it's my favorite game of the year. Twenty levels of randomly generated dungeon crawl, only instead of your typical fantasy roguelike turnbased dealy, it's a platformer where you play an 8-bit Indiana Jones in an 8-bit Temple O' Doom (complete with snakes, treasures releasing rolling boulders, spike traps and damsels in distress).

I've honestly yet to get to the fifth floor. Crazy-addictive though.

I buy from Steam and Game Stop because they tend to have the lowest prices and Steam keeps track of what you own so you don't need to worry about losing discs or keys. If I sell something it's at a regional chain called Slackers because their buy prices are higher than Game Stop's.

Not until just now. I'll be boring and agree that the RE4 merchant wins hands down, though the repair guy from Forum Wars, who types with a lisp is pretty awesome too.

"What are ya buying?"
"What are ya sellin?!"
"Got a selection of GOOD things on sale stranger."

Ah such a phenomenal game.
I was playing Resi 4 earlier today and I remembered why it's my 3rd favorite game of all time.

Capcom need to forget the mistakes of Resi 5 and make the next one based singularly on the Merchant of 4.
