So I've finally settled down and watched a slightly-less-legal-than-normal version of 28 Weeks Later (I've still yet to fully see the first one, which I saw parts of and wiki'd the rest) and I really liked it. I mean I REALLY. REALLY. LIKED IT

It was one of the few horror films that made me feel like I might walk outside and see an infected person or [Insert horror movie antagonist here] running after me.

Keep in mind also that I'm a horror movie newbie, and especially a zombie film newbie, aside from some basic "Hurr I have a zombie plan" knowledge, I know nothing about modern zombie lore.

You should definitely see 28 days later. I liked it more than 28 weeks later, but that's just me.

Anyways: My favorite zombie movie would probably be the original "Day of the Dead".
I definitely recommend seeing it if you haven't.

Not a big zombie flick fan, I don't go actively searching for them. There was however, a clip I saw from what I believe is a pretty classic zombie film that interested me, I just can't recall the title of it. This guy is getting pulled in half by zombies, and as they are chomping on his intestines he says "I hope you choke on them!" or something of that nature.

My favorite zombie movies aren't horror movies: They are Shaun of the Dead and Wild Zero. I tried watching the original Dawn of the Dead and couldn't get halfway through it. I loved the original Night of the Living Dead though. In general though I don't care much for zombie movies.

Shaun of the Dead

I don't like the 'serious' ones

That said, that New Zealander one that Furburt loves is f*cking INSANE

Night of the living dead started it all for me, such awesomeness. Dawn and the 28 days later series are awesome too.

I have some news for you though, we recently interviewed Romero and he said that Diaries of the Dead was just an introduction for a new series of his films. He will be doing a film about each of the characters from it (ie survival of the dead followed the roughe national guardsman) others will follow eg the teacher and the rich kid at the mansion etc..

No REC? If that counts then REC 1 million times before any other. If not that then Zombieland... or if we want a more serious one then the 2004 dawn of the dead (I think it was 2004 :S)
