Well, I've only really ever watched Black Lagoon, though I've been getting into the original Space Battleship Yamato, so it's a toss up between those two.
I doubt I'd ever be able to watch either Death Note or Hetalia, as one of my friends is one of those people, and I've been left scarred due to what she has made me read.

I thought the first season had the right pace and ended well. The first part of the second season seemed too fanservice orientated. I mean Abberline's twin might have been an interesting concept to introduce if he didn't spend half of the episode doubled over with gastro-intestinal trouble, in the end it just seemed gratuitous. Although the second series did solve the big problem of continuing the Sebastian-Ciel relationship after the first season, the second just didn't seem paced right.Banana Phone Man said:

The thing that made the first series (for me) better than the second was that there was only one butler (sebastian). Sebastian was the suave, sleek, all in one butler and to top it off is a demon from hell, yet on an order would shine your shoes. With the introduction of Claude. Sure as a character he was alright but having two butlers that are equal and seem to be able to do anything makes both of them a little less special. That's what kind of put me off.Limie said:

I think the second season ended well, but it lacked the emotional depth the first had and that spoiled any following season. I agree entirely that adding Claude did make Sebastian seem a little bit redundant but, Sebastian did need a worthy antagonist otherwise the story wouldn't move forward. I think it would have been worse however, if they had spammed another Angel in there.Banana Phone Man said:
Again I agree with you completely. Actually this little discussion/chat/talk whatever has had me thinking. Looking at Kuroshitsuji 1+2 we could probably come up with a few things that are worse with the second one over the first, however my "I'm having a blast 'o' meter" makes me over look all of them (except maybe some of the obvious fan service). Sure it's got more faults with the second season but it bombards you with so much in with twists and turns as well as with the uniqueness of the characters that I over look it easily. It's way up there on my fun to watch scale (With HOTD being at the top at the moment).Limie said:

IMO, anime is really hit or miss. Even when its good, it's usually still too cliche. It's gotta be real different in order to stand out.
Oh, I forgot another one I also kinda like: Mononoke T.V. is decent.
