I know this is an odd thread, but hey what the hell!

Whats your favourite coin in your currency?

The idea of this thread came to me when i was counting my change and noticed a sweet 50p (see below). It's one of the few olympic themes 50ps that are in production now and they are pretty damn cool!

A worthy mention to the clever shield set they did a while ago too! (Again, see below)

Well, the US doesn't exactly have many interesting coins. We had the state quarters a while back, and a few of them were okay, but nothing special. But, since they're right next door, I'm going to borrow Canada's $2 coin (toonie) [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_2_dollar_coin] because I've always like those.

While not technically currency, my favorite coin that I've collected is the $1 poker chip from Fitzgerald's casino on Fremont St in Vegas.

The most useful coin in our currency...
...and you can't find it anymore. If there's one thing I miss about being stationed in Europe, it's Euro coins. You could carry a bag of coins and actually buy things with it over there. Carry a bag of coins here and you wind up spending 8 of 'em on a cup of coffee.

I like the £1 due to the fact I can buy alot of things with (yesh I know the other coins can make up to a £1 but £1 is on its own unless it cost more than £1).

I must say I like the £2 coin a lot. It's very fancy looking.

I love my Looneys. Mostly because I love Loons and their call.
I also love Loonies. And Toonies, because they're two dollar coins. And while it's not related to the thread, I like the fact that Canadian 5$ bills can be modified to look like they have Spock on them.

Man, Canadian money is fun!

Pound coins. All of them are nice, but my favourite is the one with the cool cross on the tail side.

I'm fond of the norwegian 20 NOK coin. It features a viking ship on the front, and our king on the back.

Most 50p are my favourites, sometimes I will look at my change and see a 50p and I haven't seen before and think hmm I will save this for another time.
