Your favourite cover/original version

I'm aware there's been quite a few music threads lately. I just thought, for the sake of discussion, I'd ask if anyone has a favourite cover version of a song, or a song that has been covered many times, but you feel the original is far superior, and can never be touched.

I've heard an ungodly amount of covers of Johnny Cash songs, especially Ring of Fire. There are only two people who can sing that song successfully, and the rest need to burn in HEEEELL!!! Seriously, it's annoying.

Scissor Sisters did it. I haven't heard it but it's a fast song according to my friend who hadn't heard the original.
