Your favourite fictional device

I just thught it would be cool to see what everyone thinks as the most badass/awesome/cool/favourite fictional device. They can be from games, books or movies, and can span from sci-fi to fantasy devices.

For example, my favourite fictional device would be the Serpent Guard helmet from the TV series' 'Stargate SG-1' and 'Stargate Atlantis'. The damn thing folds away from a great honking eagle helmet to nothing with many folding pieces. They also look pretty badass.

But in all seriousness the only one I can think of is the ODST armour from Halo. So sexy.

Well I made it up myself. I call it a Lorquin for no reason whatsoever.

It's a smoking pipe, with wind holes similar to a recorder or other wind instrument, only the layout of your fingers over particular holes results in different coloured smoke coming out.

Because everybody should be smoking rainbows and happiness. Grey smoke is so dull.

Seriously, though, I find myself strangely endeared to novelty items that are completely and utterly useless. I think that's why my favourite fictional device is 'The Lampshade of No Real Significance'.

As for my favourite,wouldn't it be cool to have Engineer's schematics? I suppose that sentry guns,dispensers and teleporters are merely tip of the iceberg.
