Pretty much any non-CD based console in the 90s and earlier would've had games smaller than that so my pick would probably be Super Metroid. If we're just going PC though I'd have to go with The Binding of Isaac. Less than 40 megs and I have a good 300 hours in it. Would have more if my current computer would play the damn thing.
Was Isaac initially less than 100 mb? As it stands now with Wrath of the Lamb, it's over 300 according to Steam.

The original, free version of Cave Story weighs in at 4MB. One of the best platformer-shooters ever made, with some of the catchiest music ever made - by a single man.

Under 100mb? I'd say Nethack. Aaaaand, Diablo 1, I think was under that amount... Well, it was a long time ago and I've long since stopped caring about file sizes. But those are fantastic low requirement games if any!

This one is pretty obvious for me, the original DOOM is definitely one of my favorite PC games. Less than 15 MB for the original version.

Tyrian. 17mb. So much fun, Always got a copy of it installed on any of my machines for whenever I've got a few minutes to blast through a level.

Golden Sun would be a good contender for me (it's either 16mb or 32mb, I can't remember).

There are probably 8,000 others but it's late.

Lately? Rimworld. The Alpha 5 install is ~89MB. It's more accessible than dwarf fortress, but in a similar vein.

Doom 1 and 2. Combined, they took up less than 50 megs, and they're still among the best shooters I've ever played.

Probably A Link to the Past or Earthbound. I'm not too great with file sizes so their could be other great games under 100 mb that I'm overlooking.

Uh... Corruption of Champions? I can technically play it without DRM, so there's that...

Other than that... uh... Sonic 2?

Deuteros < 1.44mb
Dragon's Breath < 1.44mb
Wings < 1.44mb
Head over Heels < 720k
Elite < 720k

Pretty much any Amiga game actually. Secret of Monkey Island, Times of Lore, Lemmings, etc.

Let's try to keep it to one game. Something where the limited capacity is part of the charm.

Papers Please? No seriously, all of you need to give me your papers, I have gotten reports that you have expired expiration dates and false information on your country of origin. Now you can either talk to me or the nice men with guns right behind me....your choice.
Ima gonna have to second this one. It's the smallest game I've played in recent memory, weighing in at 42megs. But it's a fun, challenging, addictive and rewarding 42megs I'd highly recommend to anyone.
