Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. I think there were more games after the second, but I can't find 'em to buy anywhere. Still, the first and second were awesome.

Okami. Without a shadow of a doubt. It barely sold 200,000 on PS2 and 300,000 on Wii (I got Wii Version) but it's such a beautiful, deep game. Fantastic story, great dialogue, addicting gameplay, GORGEOUS art style.. this game has it all. And yes, I know it's slightly more mainstream now, but when I got it it was still obscure.

Sky Odyssey, it's a mission based flight sim for the PS2, the environments are pretty, the sound track is fitting, and it definetly fits into the hard category with flying through the Tower of Maximus.

Wizardry 8. Best RPG ever made.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who ever talks of it.
It is a horrible game.

OT: Croc:Legend of the Gobbos.
Baw. Well I guess since it's pretty much without comparison, mechanic-wise, it's a game you either love or hate.

Also, Croc is/was freaking epic, and I'd say that you miss the "lesser known" category by a mile since it's pretty much considered a PS1 legend.

I really like Freedom Fighters; the progression style, the squad combat and the story itself all were top notch. I hardly find someone that knows about it though and that makes me a little sad.
I just bought a copy of Freedom Fighters off ebay a month ago, and it is safe to say that I love the game just as much as I did back in '03. I've heard that a sequel is on IO Interactive's "to-do list", but it looks like it will be at keast another year befor they make any announcements.

Also:Not many people know about Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, even though it was a fantastic game. It's still my favorite RTS.
I will have to second Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends. It is hands down one of the best RTS games I have ever played, and it had the most unique gameworld of any RTS I have ever seen. Besides... It's hard to get cooler than mixing steampunk and magic.

I'm surprised it did not get better reviews when it was released. I supposed it is because it was not that different from Rise of Nations when you get down to the core gameplay.

Anyone else heard of a game called '40 Winks'

It was a brilliant spoof-horror game for the PS1 where you played as one of two children, each level was a different nightmare and you had to collect 40 little creatures called 'Winks' before sunrise.

Only me and my best freind have played it.

Ah I had that! Got it for my 14th bday I think... Yeah I liked it but found the story to slow in it's progression, so I sold it. Wouldn't mind playing it again now lol

I had the demo of that, it was probs the longest demo I've ever played ever. I don't remember it too well but I remember there being zombies that popped up and you carried around a candle... I think lol. Good memories!

I would have to say Lost Kingdoms 2(never played one but two was awesome)

And I doubt anyone has even heard of this game but I loved playing Glover on the N64. I thought it got kinda tiring considering the handling and it was pretty dificult in my opinion but still a fun game and some of the levels just looked beautiful. (mainly the Atlantis levels. Brilliant)

Legend of Dragoon - It's a somewhat corny JRPG but it had an original setting and world with a good story. Besides who doesn’t like turning into magical dragon warriors and kicking the shit out of your enemies with magic and swords?

Nexus The Jupiter Incident - This is a rather obscure space combat title that you can now get on steam. If anyone is a fan of Homeworld 2 or just huge fucking space battles in general. Very original setting and plot with some beautiful visuals (the voice acting may make you want to cut yourself at times) but all in all, very underappreciated.

Sins of a Solar Empire - Think Civilization 4 in Real-time + Star Wars = Why the hell have you not got this yet???!!!!! If you’re a fan of Real Time Strategy you must have this for your collection, utterly fantastic game with unparalleled complexity and depth for a RTS. You get to conquer entire solar systems with hundreds of ships at your command and rule the universe. It was kinda breezed over by the gaming community, not sure why, but now is the chance to redeem yourself!

Terranigma? No idea if it is lesser known or not, but if it is, it is my favorite lesser known game.
That is my favorite game of all time. It's not released in America, and never shows up on lists of the best SNES games. Even though I think it deserves a spot in the top 10s or 20s.
Being from Europe, I bought it from a store for about 5 Euros at the time. Not knowing how much it was going to be on eBay years later.

Driver. Almost no one knows what it is. An old computer game, but it will only work on old computers.
