It's also the symbol for a measurement of distance much used in Chemistry, the Ångstrom (or 10[sup]-10[/sup]m).

Though personally I have a preference for the Welsh 'll', merely because it's unpronounceable to most English people.

I'm one of the exceptions!

I'm English but have very good pronunciation in a Mid-Welsh dialect. It's a shame my teachers sucked, if I could understand it as well as I can pronounce it I'd be fluent in Welsh by now
