What have you done in the past that seemed like a mistake at the time, but has turned out for the best? Or, what mistake did you make before that was totally hilarious in hindsight and thus worth it? Or... you get the idea.
I once stayed up for 3 days straight playing bridge and some board games (Titan and Settlers of Catan). Instead of attending my classes at University. There were breaks for food in there, but it was basically just a non-stop gameathon. I totally should have been paying more attention to my classes, since I ended up failing out, but then I went to a local College and got a diploma in programming, and now I build websites for a living. So it was awesome fun while I did it, plus I ended up in a better place than a pure math degree would have taken me anyway.
