There have been a number of negative threads recently related to teachers and school and so I thought I'd turn the tables and ask people to share stories about their favourite teachers. They can be the ones that made class fun, the could be the one that inspired you to study something new, or the one that stayed behind to help you pass an exam.

I have 2.

The first was my GCSE History teacher as she was always encouraging the class to question what you were being told and remember there are 2 sides to every stroy. Also, her introduction to the Korean War was fun. She made us push all the desks to the all, split the class in two and told us to stand in our groups in the middle of the class. She then told us to run to the bottem of the class. We then had to run to the top of the class, then run back to the middle of the class and sit down staring at each other. That, she said, was the Korean War.

My second was my A level Maths teacher as she gave us donuts twice for "acting like we always do" when inspectors were in. The 1st time we had an Ofstead inspector in the class (government school inspector) and someone came in late. When asked why he was late, his reply was "My car wouldn't start, PLEASE DON'T HIT ME AGAIN!" The 2nd was when we had the deputy head in the class inspecting the teacher. One of the other guys in the class had had this teacher since he was 12 and had always sat in the same seat, and the deputy head had decided to sit there while inspecting the class. When the guy came in, he just walked over to the deputy head, glared at him and went "Get out of my chair!".

So, who was yours?
