A truly epic battle? Very well, but I have to set it up for you. So, picture in your mind...
A city, downtown-type area. This is Pittsburgh, not too far from where the three rivers meet. Everything is normal and then...the skies turn red! Something large and almost is flying around, sending off crimson beams of destruction. Then, we see it... It's like a massive dragon-mech, a black-and-red creature with flight engines, energy-blasting tendrils, and a power so great that it actually threatens to overload the beast!
The creature is a violent mech running out of control. More to the point, it is both sentient and malevolent, terrorizing and destroying because it CAN. And because it wishes a host. The draconic machine lands and its cockpit opens, throwing out a bedraggled corpse that's obviously had a ton of abuse. It looks over...and there me and my friends are, realizing what it wants. Well, SHIT! We don't wanna end up that way! BATTLE ON!
Did you really think it would be that easy? The creature reers itself and points its head up high in a roar of defiance as shockwaves knock us all back. Clusterbombs of destructive energy fire from the mouth and land all around in the city and rivers, shaking the ground and...no way. The whole area is sinking? Is that even possible?!
The bridges are out, the city's rubble and fire, and this creature is relentless in pursuit. Once it decides what it wants, nothing short of an act of god will make it stop. But what do you do when no gods are handy? Probably only one thing you CAN do. Let it think it's won and finish it...from within! Someone has to go into that cockpit...
Try not to think about what's going through my head at this time, apart from the machine's control spires as it fills me with both its destructive forces and regenerative power. I'm to act as a power regulator, but it all goes wrong and a massive explosion from the cockpit follows. There... Now, nobody can ever pilot this wretched thing again...
Extensive damage... Initiating recovery systems...
...or can they?
