So today was the final episode of Space Dandy and honestly I had find the show to be perplexing to say the least!

I am having mix feeling toward it, I mostly didn't enjoyed the first half of the series (I did liked the ramen, helping that rare alien girl and the robot love episodes) however when they came back from their break to aired the other half, it seen to had gotten alot better for me and there were more than one time that I was awestuck at how great or funny the episodes was (the parrallel Dandies, limbo, fishing, high school musical, the dance off and the date with Scarlet episodes)!

I think threason why I didn't liked it mainly due to how the episodes wasn't connected at first and I find the main cast to be somewhat plain. Ok sure once I became more aware at the possible connection (which some people caught on after the first few episodes) I did enjoyed it more (mainly the ones that had a different artstyle) but the main cast didn't exactly improved well Dandy did had his up and downs throughtout the episodes.

Seriosuly, I got a strange love/ hate relationship with the show at the moment! The show is somewhat near DVD purchased worthy from me probably at the bottom of the list (I only buy anime DVDs that I loved) however I am considering of cosplaying Dandy in the possible future (or maybe the fact that cosplaying him wouldn't be that hard to make other than his hair style).

TL:DR- What you thought on the series as a whole now that it has finished? Do you want more or leave it be due to the "To be continue?" sign at the end.

As for me, I say leave it be. Sure I wouldn't mind seeing more of Dandy hijinks and maybe getting some character development (would he ever hook up with Scarlett?) but now the whole plot is reveal (Dandy is the only being who can enter other demension), there is nothing really holding the episodes together per say.

One last thing, I am in love with this soundtrack used in the Dandy in Love episode!

I really liked the series. One of my favorite to date. Especially that every alien that appeared was drawn by a different artist, which really helped create an atmosphere which truly felt... well... alien.

The twist behind the secret to warping doesn't really make a whole lot of sense when you think about it (Especially since supposedly Dandy is the only one who is supposed to be able to move between parallel universes), but! Still loved it.

Bea's true nature was the thing I found most surprising. And the quality of the space battle in the final episode made me kind of upset that they didn't do that more often. But I think that was a satisfactory conclusion to Dandy's story, and there's no real need to 'milk' the series.

Capcha: 'Neckbeard'. What?

I liked it, I just wish there was a bit more resolution with Perry.

Bea and Gel were dealt with, but the last we saw of Perry, he was just there strangling Johnny. What was the point of the big "ooh! He's not really a spooky space skeleton, he's just an old man!" reveal exactly?

Admiral Perry was based off of the real life U.S. Commodore Matthew Perry, who opened trade with Japan and ended the East's policy of isolationism. So that reveal was a bit of a joke along those lines.

Kind of like how the dog named Laika in episode 8 is heavily implied to be the same real life Laika who was sent into space as part of a Soviet experiment.
