My first proper gig, that wasn't a bunch of unsigned bands playing in the local pub was Marilyn Manson at Nottingham Rock City on his Antichrist Superstar tour with Pist.on supporting. I was only 17 and very drunk at the time, I had never been in a moshpit before. They kicked into the first song, everyone in the crowd started bouncing and I went down taking many people with me. I must have annoyed so many people that night.

Pist.on were very good and I became a fan of the band on that night. Marilyn Manson on the other hand were slightly disappointing. For all the stories and folklore that followed him around, it was all a bit tame. He was better when I saw him at Download '03 when he had his full stage show.

My first concert was Hanson, back when I was 14 or 15.

Still listen to them occasionally, not afraid to admit it.

Let's see.

When I was a child my folks took me an Alabama concert. Was fun enough even though it wasn't my choice of music.

The first one I went to of my own choice was White Zombie. Great show. It had lots of anime clips playing during it. I really wish I could remember who the opener was. I want to say Filter but for several reasons that whole evening is fuzzy.

Our Lady Peace on their Gravity tour. I was 16 I think. It was neat, especially since it was the first concert in the city's new arena. Our seats sucked though.
