Tarzan for the Playstation 1 when I was 8. On reflection I realise that Shit sucked, but back then I thought it was the greatest game ever made. Ever. mainly because it was the only game I had ever played. Ever.

It was an Atati2600 game ... I think it was Moon Patrol. The first game I bought from my own money was Maniac Mansion for the C64.

Unreal Tournament 2000 I believe. Before video games, I was big on D&D-type board games, but once I got into the virtual world of gaming, I was immediately hooked and will be for many years to come.
The first game I actually really played were some of the old Mario titles... then came Goldeneye
Of course my one true first game was Halo: Combat Evolved. That was the day games stopped being a casual divergence with me... that was the day my eyes were opened for the first time. I made a profile, tried to call myself 'Trex' but mispelled it, and I liked the mispell
The young James Burnside dissapeared that night... from then on it was only Vrex.
Then when the Xbox 360 came along it was Vrex360.
(I would have made that my gamertag but some prick beat me to it.)

Banjo Kazooie for the Nintendo 64. Still my all time favourite game (can't wait for XBLA Tooie on Wednesday!)

My first console game was Wizard of Wor - I guess it was an C64 on which a friend of mine (the owner of the game) and I played. I was very bad at it.
