When did you have your first gamer party? What game did you play? What were the rules? How long did it last?

my first party was at my friend Nathans house when I was ten. Me and eight of my friends sat around one t.v. Playing 007 Goldeneye. If one person died they had to hand over the controller to the next person. We played for over ten hours; later ones went on longer. It feels sorta good to reminisce.

Sorry if this has been done before. I didn't see anything in the search bar

My first gamer party was probably back when Super Smash Bros. first came out. A bunch of friends and I stayed up till 5am playing it.

8 People. 2 Gamecubes. 2 copies of Mario Kart:Double Dash. We did a mini-tournament, with both Single players and teamed up. God that was fun.

I never really had a major party. The closest thing I would've had to a party is when my 2 cousins came around, and all 4 (including my brother) of us did loads of Dragonball Z Tenkaichi 3 tournaments, using only random characters.
The results were lulzy.
Oh yeah, we also stayed up until around 4AM.

When we were like 10, me and three other freinds would stay up for about 2 or 3 days playing Battle.net on Warcraft III and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Mine was when Me, my brothers, and my brothers friends got GTA vice city. We went on pointless rampages and however got to the most stars won. Only one health cheat and infinite advanced weapons, no wanted up or down. Needless to say it was epic explosions when you stole a tank.

Don't think we've ever actually had a real gamer party, but I have fond memories of playing DotA in an internet café with friends, and of scratching the hell out of a DS screen while playing pass-it-around Pokemon Ranger. :p That was a couple years ago, I'm afraid... haven't had much time to see my gamer friends this year. I miss them a lot. :(

Goldeneye for me and eventually Perfect Dark with an occasional foray into Mario Kart 64. Our nights would consist of playing those games until we got tired and then watching reruns of A-Team late into the night.

Good times.

One of my friends came home after 2 years of being gone and we ended up having 3 xboxes lan'ed together playing halo 3 until the wee hours

Probably gonna date myself a bit, but the first LAN I ever went to we mostly played Quake 2. We got together about once a month and played everything from the Quake series, Unreal Tournament to some kind of capture the flag game that reminds me of a cross between planetside and unreal, but I can't think of the name.

So long ago before broadband became commonplace...
