The first one I can consciously remember is Hillsfar for the PC. Or possibly Pool of Radiance, though I just watched my father play that for the first times.
Charmander doesn't really have a problem beating Brock, though. Just because Ember is "not very effective" doesn't mean it doesn't still do decent damage. He's almost a better choice for the fight than Bulbasaur, unless you grind him to level 13 for Vine Whip just for that fight.Nevyrmoore said:

Duke 3d was my first pc game when i was 9, and yes my parents are awesome they even bought gta for me when it came out despite all the media furore at that time

MY first game was pobably Pokemon, or maybe Rebel Assault for the PC, I can't remember
The first game I played was Star Fox I believe, or maybe even one of the original Marios. I don't even remember my first game, just the knowledge that I was gaming.

Mine was Super Mario World for SNES... or Super Mario All Stars... on the SNES. I cannot remember, but what I do remember easily was how poorly I played the game. I'm not kidding, I asked my mom to help me, and she was a none gamer, teach me how to play it, so I was about 3 or 4, I think.
Either Mario Kart 64 or Super Mario 64, but I would probably say Mario Kart.
