So, some fairly big games have come out recently (Starcraft 2, Mass Effect 2) and some fairly big games will be coming out in the near future (Fable 3, Halo: Reach). A good portion of you have probably been waiting with dreams of epic stories or uber n00b pwnage, and awaking to find a sticky mass between your legs that you probably shouldn't have told me about if you didn't want it posted on the internet, ADRIAN.
-But, back to the topic at hand.-
What if, while you were waiting for the release of these games (it doesn't matter which, just imagine that it's a game you would be very excited about), it was discovered that the world was going to end (with 100% certainty)? It doesn't matter how, all that's important is that there is no hope of survival or escape when it happens. For plausibility sake, lets say the game was scheduled to come out in a few weeks (the game is complete and finalized, it just needs to be produced and shipped out) and the Earth won't be destroyed for about 3-4 weeks after the release date.
1. Would you still expect/demand the release of the game?
2. Assuming they were going to release it anyways, would you even play it, or would you have better things to do?
3. What coming game(s) (regardless of actual release date) would you be willing to do this for?
4. If you wouldn't do so for any planned games, what's a game you've always wanted a sequel of that you would do this for?
For me:
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Fable 3 and Dragon Age 2
4. N/A
