1. Modding. I like to get the most out of the games I buy, and modding helps to add a ton of expanded lifespan onto games I enjoy. Thanks to modding, I've put 300+ hours into Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and Skyrim - each.
The thing I kind of feel ashamed about is that I only finished Skyrim after about 300+ hours without mods on my 360 haha, mind you that is doing every single quest and screwing around for a bit and I think there were some times where I got distracted and would have racked up some hours without playing.

I would love to try some mods but my laptop isn't the best so I really doubt it would run Skyrim.

PC because I do art and such anyway so it needs to have some power anyway so why not put money in something that does it all vs just games. Most of my friends have PS3's as well but because of steam sales we wind up getting the multiplayer games that much cheaper for all 4 of us.

I have a bunch of other devices as well but it just makes sense to do all in one when you already need the umph for work and want to play games.

I have a 360, a 3DS, and a PC I cobbled together out of some spare parts. (As well as my brother's old PS2 and GameCube, because he's a nice chap.)

I game mostly (of late) on the 3DS, because I've been on a Pokemon kick, and I happen to be a fan of turn-based strategy games, and I can find those in a local bargain bin for around ten bucks a pop at times.

The 360 is what I use for AAAs, because my PC can't handle most modern AAAs (Deus Ex Human Revolution crawls at the lowest settings), and seldom are there AAAs that come out that are PC-exclusive that I'm interested in.

My PC is for WoW, Dwarf Fortress, older titles like Fallout and Arcanum (I think Master of Magic is the oldest one I've gotten off GoG), Dwarf Fortress, Paradox games, Dwarf Fortress, off-the-wall games I find on Steam (like Cargo! The Quest for Gravity), and Dwarf Fortress.

(Captcha: I don't care what Donne said, the bell tolls for chocolate pudding, dag nabbit.)

I have a PS3 to play most games, and the great exclusives like inFamous and Uncharted.

I have a pretty decent gaming PC (it can run Crysis on medium settings) which I use for PC exclusives.

I'm a PC gamer. By mistake. Mother and Father of mine refused to buy an up-to-date console for the family, and when I got a new laptop for my birthday, I happily found it could run games such as TF2, Primal Carnage, and Jet Set Radio extremely well. Suffice to say I was quite pleased.

So why do you use the platform you do?
I'll quote you so you get at least one message into your inbox from this thread :p

On Topic
I have a Nintendo WiiU at the moment
It is the second console I've bought myself and the Wii was the one before that
The first console that was put before me was the SNES by my dad and since he's owned every Nintendo console there is I've grown up to like them, and I still do.
So for me it is the Nintendo consoles althou after GameBoyAdvance I haven't had a handheld from them so 'm going with Nintendo stationary consoles.
And to be more precise the WiiU

360 cos when I got it I'd've been too young to set up a gaming PC. I also share it with my brother, like playing on a large screen, enjoy its accessibility and just prefer playing with a controller and with other people if I need to.

I had pretty limited exposure to consoles. The first gaming device I ever played on was a Colecovision, and I had a few experiences with megadrivers, NES, SNES and playstations.

However the device I most used was a Commodore Amiga, followed by our very first PC. From then on I've played on the PC for the vast majority.

I bought my PS3 solely for MGS4, and I use my Xbox 360 for playing Fifa and nothing else, lol.

Also as an aside, I've only ever played 4 games online for a large amount of time. UT2003, UT2004 (which I still play), MW2 and BO (which I haven't played in a long long time). All of them on the PC.

I use a PS3. I had a PSP which I loved and also bought a PS2 late into the cycle and had some games on that. I have nothing against the other platforms, but I wouldn't want to pay to use online as I don't use it a load so it wouldn't be worth paying for but I still like to do it now and again. Also the PC players who I know in real life are really elitist, and just don't want to be related to them in any way.
