I am more likely to enjoy a game if there are more things to do then just finish the main quest.
So to put it into one phrase "Side Quests".
Gotta have me some side quests :D
Of course some games can't have this option, but that doesn't mean I won't like these games as long as they are good all around.

Exploration. Best example was Pokémon Pearl. Didn't like doing the fighting, hated the severe grinding, but loved wandering around finding the hidden areas, unlocking the new TM's to get to new regions, and finding new stuff. Give me a big enough place and I'll spend days finding every nook, every cranny, every point you're not supposed to get to, and how to get to it. Once I know a place inside out I start to lose interest, but while there's still stuff to find, I'm still looking.

I have to like the characters, if i don't i cant play. I mean it's hard when you find the cut scenes painfully bad or you would rather the bad guy wins.

I read through the responses, thinking about my own, and I decided on this:

I want the game to be funny, but not at the expense of the design, or whatever.

As long as i can kill stuff then i don't care about everything else... welll maybe how much other people play it. And i say that not being conformist.
