Just a thread to rant about stupid things your government is doing/has done. My one is the fact that the Irish government are planning to introduce a blashphemy law pretty much designed against atheists like myself from having free speech

John Prescott used the taxpayer's money to buy two toilet seats, then one of his fellow MPs claimed that the public have no right to know what the MPs are doing with said taxpayers money, and that those taxpayers are "jealous" (to which I say, bravo sir. You've really captured the feeling of the nation on that one). So...yeah. it seems the world is in order, no?

The Irish government is planning to introduce a law that if(and it will be) passed will make it possible for any religion to bring charges against somebody for insulting their religion. This will lead to criminal prosecution. If you are an atheist (like myself) and say somebodies god dosn't exist (That is blasphemy hence the name) they can get there church representitives to get you prosecuted. Only in the fundamentalist Middle-east and Ireland can this happen.traceur_ said:
