I'm sure that most of us have done a few things while playing against others that make us think "bloody hell, i'm amazing", but which multiplayer gaming victory are you the most proud of? Come regale us with the tale.

For me, it was one time while playing some random on Smackdown vs Raw.

He was basically beating the hell out of me and i realised that i couldn't beat him in a straight fight, so after flukily countering one of his moves i rolled out of the ring to and grabbed a chair. I got back in the ring and he said "you'll get disqualified". I told him that i made it a no DQ match, though i hadn't really. I let him knock me down, then he picked up the chair and hit me with it.

The bell rang, he was disqualified and Valentin the Vampire Seleznyov was declared the winner. Then he went ape and threatened to hack me.

I'm proud of this victory because i managed to use my intelligence to overcome a physical limitation, and that is what being a human is all about.

Playing Resistance 2 online unranked. I was playing a match of core control, its like capture the flag btw, (the custom ones made by users have no time limit so they can literally last forever, or until one side wins) and we had been playing for the past 3 hours. No one quit.

It was tied at 6-6, (games go up to 7) and the other team had gotten our core almost to the drop off point in their base. I enabled invisibility and ran like fuck all the way their and killed EVERYONE on the other team (its a 10 v 10 game) and camped the core until it respawned back at our base.

Getting a nuke in MW2.
I'm sorry, someone had to say it.

Actually, reflecting back on that day, I think I over-reacted a little...

L4D playing against and with some hardened FPS male friends. I was the only one to survive the finale and won the game for us (we wiped the other team at theirs)

I felt so good lol as I'm always really nervous when I play with lads on games and frightened I'll screw up.

In wow on warsong gulch I was playing my rogue and there was a twink shadow priest higher level than me, killing everyone at the graveyard. No one could even get close. I managed to beat the crap out of them and actually shouted things like 'DIE YOU GRAVEYARD CAMPING COW' on skype at people who werent in the game... *blush*

My greatest multiplayer triumph was a peaceful one. I was playing Street Fighter IV online on my PC, I was Zangief my opponent was Akuma. Zangief is a slow character, so when fighting against a mostly ranged opponent like Akuma players have one option: the Double Lariat. The Double Lariat move is somehow able to dodge any incoming projectile attack despite the fact that it just sends Zangief spinning in a circle. The match was a close one and I won. Almost immediately after my victory I got a very angry message from the person who played Akuma. I responded in a calm, polite manner, explaining the history of the Double Lariat. Akuma responded, saying my use of the move was not the problem, but that external happenstances had given him much anger. As reasonable gentlemen we exchanged messages for an hour or so. At the end of our conversation he added me as a friend, an act which I was all too happy to reciprocate. I had made my first friend on GFWL our of my first bitter enemy on GFWL.

It's probably a tf2 one, that's for sure.

From memory, there was the time I played sniper on goldrush defence, essentially keeping the entire team in spawn for around 5 minutes. My teammates barely got a chance to fight them, it was just headshots everywhere. Of course, this is a rare enough occurence, usually i'm pretty mediocre with sniper, but sometimes I become an aimbot for some reason, it's loads of fun. Or the time I headshotted a scout so much he resigned himself to teamswitching and griefing me for the rest of the game. Good times...

I don't so much have greatest triumphs so much as I have amazing online experiences. So overall, my contribution to this thread is minimal, but probably worth chipping in that I don't so much care for winning as much as I do about just having fun and playing in a relaxed semi-competitive atmosphere. :)
