The title says it all really.

Being the creative sort, and the hilarious sort, I've often thought about branching out into doing this sort of thing.

The problem is that I don't have the equipment to shoot a web series or the expertise to launch one, and my drawing is especially bad (for the same reason I'm not too good at games in general). I've written about six bibles in my time (industry term for a document that outlines characters, settings etc.), and I've actually written about 100 scripts.

Anyhow, enough about me.

Post YOUR idea about a web comic/ web series. Will it involve cliches about sassy yet vulnerable girls who game or some sort of giant robot battle saga? Who knows, you might even meet someone on here to help you get your idea off the ground!

Anyhow, a kernel of an idea came to me while I was at work today. A web comic about an AFL player who moves to butt-fuck nowhere USA to escape the media limelight. Why he's in the spotlight?

He slept with his captain's wife.

Anyhow, YOUR IDEAS PEOPLE!

A lot of people are nervous about idea theft on the internet, which is why not many people post. Creating a small Webcomic/Webseries is something that is a very real possibility, instead of the sometimes distant dream of Novel/Videogame/Movie creating fame. Hence, also, there is a lot more reason NOT to share your possibly very original idea. I mean its hard to defend your creative property when you freely posted it on a forum isn't it?

Agreed.

On the flip side, there aren't that many people who could pull off starting their own webcomic and ever fewer who would stick with it or have the drive to do so. That's human nature unfortunately. Those that can, more power to ya!

How about a webcomic that spoofs webcomics? Hey hey? Haven't noticed that being done before.

Or you could just have godly sprite powers and pull an 8-bit theater.

My roomate actually produces 2 webcomics and misses her updates once in a blue moon (her old comic, Get Medieval which is finished now, never missed an update).

www.kip-comics.com

Check em out if you like safe geeky humor about Fantasy or Superheroes.

Oh here's an Intro Animation for my Webcomic idea made by some friends of mine for an art project. It's already on Youtube so I definately don't mind sharing it.

I think a webseries based on Venus Envy [http://venusenvy.comicgenesis.com/] might be very interesting.

A web comic based on flying kitties.
It would be like the scene from the one movie with tornadoes cept instead of a go going moo you have a cat go meow.
