Alright hear me out on this: Boba Fett wakes up in New Zealand way in the past. Turns out he didn't die like a giant wuss, he actually got displaced in space-time and ended up on an Earth some thousands of years removed from our own. There he finds other humans and teaches them the ways of the warrior and wayfarer from his impressive knowledge of the universe as a space traveler. Years and years pass, but Boba doesn't seem to age. Then, on a journey across the sea, he gets lost in a massive storm. An unknown amount of time passes, until finally Boba reawakens in an unfamiliar land and, OH NO, he's lost all of his memories! Also, he was buried underground for much of his slumber, so his skin has lost much of its color. Enraged and confused, he screams to the heavens and feels something in his hands. Suddenly, three bone claws burst forth from each hand! HE WAS HUGH JACKMANWOLVERINE ALL ALONG! His space-time displacement had somehow mutated his Mandalorian genes! All he remembers is how to fight and how to travel the seas. Leaving Australia, he once again sets sail to find answers, only to come upon an island with peaceful inhabitants who seem somehow familiar to him. They are led by a young woman, and her name is Moana! She is descended from Boba himself, but neither of them know this as that legend was lost to time! Moana sympathizes with the stranger's plight of not knowing who he is, so she helps him prepare for a long journey of discovery. Once again, Boba/Wolverine sets out alone, only this time he ends up on an island in the Hawaiian archipelago. He begins dreaming of a strange machine, which he somehow knows how to build, but the effort will take centuries because the technology simply doesn't exist at that point in time. One day, he finally finishes his strange dream machine, which blasts forth a signal into space, coincidentally drawing in a space-ship travelling chaotically at warp speed to the island. That ship carries only one passenger: Experiment 626, later known as Stitch! Boba, now known to the few who are aware of him as Logan, observes the creature from afar, curious as to why his signal brought it to him. Eventually, after the events of the various Stitch movies and shows, Logan meets the now peaceful creature face-to-face and explains his situation. Jumba Jookiba, Stitch's creator, analyzes his DNA and finds it's not exactly human and bears some traits of a space-faring species. Stitch and Wolverine embark on a journey through space to find answers, and perhaps, become true friends.

Also, he calls people "bub" because he has a shred of memory of once being called "Boba." IT ALL FITS!
