With all the genre bending going on lately in the game industry. I figured a lot of people would have an idea what game they'd want and what genres it would encompass.
At the moment I am currently fascinated in the idea of a game that encompasses FPS and RPG elements and throwing them together into a Multiplayer game, not an MMO. The longer you play, the higher rank(or level) you become, and you can purchase items/skills and other things that persist for that map. The longer you play said game you end up with persistent out of match items, mostly cosmetic so as to not cause a time-based gap between new and old players.
Items could have RPG qualities to them, I.E. Stats like Armour, Damage, and HP buffs. But it'd be balanced out by the fact that each person would go their favourite route. I.E. someone could become an assassin/spy and someone else a hunter/sniper type.
The maps could be about the size of a Battlefield map, and have hotspots and "popup" quests to make engagements important at certain nodes and map control important in and around said node.
Edit: No, not like Savage 2, good game, just not executed properly in my opinion.
