Ever had a question no one could answer?

Like, 'is there a bigger douche in the world then Bobby Kotick?'

Post here!
Dear Sieg Firebrand,

Who is phone? (Inside joke between a bunch of blokes I know on skype.)
You guys and /b/.
I was phone.
OT: Do blind people dream? I mean blind people from birth...
Heck. I didn't even know that was from /b/. I just hear them say 'who is phone' on a frequent occasion.

That's a good question there, anyways.

Your trapped in a room with Justin Beiber, Miley Cirus, both are having a karaoke contest, and you have only one bullet in your revolver. What to do?
Fire the gun at Miley Cyrus and beat the flying shit out of Beiber, I want to see him suffer. Double kill!

OT: A man lives on the penthouse(top floor) of an apartment building. Each day he goes to work at 7 o'clock, using the elevator outside his apartment. When he comes back from work at 5 o'clock, he can only travel halfway up the floors with the elevator and must walk the rest of the way, unless there is someone else in the lift or unless it's raining. Why?

Think OUTSIDE the box for this one.

There are three incredibly quick and agile, almost too much for the human eye, walking piranhas that can stop their prey's movement with a venomous bite. Consequently, and ironically, they are very, very slow when eating. They take hours upon hours, upon hours to do so.

You and your significant other, the love of your life, have managed to escape to a basement in some nondescript building. The piranhas are hard at work gnawing at the door.

You both are waiting for the inevitable to happen in the following seconds. Also, you have one firearm with but one bullet and your significant other is a hardcore catholic and does not believe in suicide and has just told you that he/she won't do it. No matter what.

You have little time left.

What do you do?

You have a perfectly spherical ball made from that 2 way mirror stuff they use in police interview rooms (the reflective mirror side on the inside of the ball)

If you looked into the ball what would you see?

Correct me if I am wrong in my idea but my question is "What is a reflection of a reflection?"

When you have two mirrors facing each other, they get smaller and smaller in each others reflection but if you had a spherical mirror, hence the ball idea, what would you see? I cant figure it out

Also if my nan falls down in her flat and there is no one around, does she make a sound? o_O

Same answer as with the tree...NO...sound is subjective...it comes into existence when sound waves are interpreted by the brain...before that it is only periodical differences in ambient pressure...

Because he's too small to reach the top button without either getting someone else to do it or poking it with his umbrella.

Two men are eating the same meal at a restaurant. They both ask the chef, what it was they had and after hearing the answer one of them immediately dries home, gets his gun and shoots himself. What happened?

Oh god...I hate lateral riddles...

They're both half right and half wrong.
At the end of the court case the judge's decision overwrites the original agreement. So, whatever the judge says, goes.
Aha! that however was not the question
The question was "Who is right?", the answer is "The judge."
but he wasn't a option... The options are the student or the teacher. However why would the judge's ruling override the original agreement? That is also a legal binding contract.
Because the whole point is that the dispute is over the contract. Therefore the reason to have the judge is to tell them what the contract means.

If you hire someone to do some work, but it turns out a loop-hole in the contract allows them to do nothing but you still have to pay them. So you take them to court and the judge says "Even though the contract technically says you get paid for no work, I will not allow that, either do the work or don't get paid." The work man can't then just turn around again and say "I'm not doing the work and you still have to pay me, because the contract says so." because the contract has been overwritten by the judge.

That's not how mirror glass works.
What mirror glass does is the same thing to both sides, it reflects half the incoming light and allows half the light through. This means that the side with the most light sees a mirror while the side with the least light sees through the glass.

You'll note that in police interrogation rooms, the room itself is lit-up while the "spy" room is in darkness. If the interrogation room was dark while the "spy" room was light, the criminal would be able to see the police while the police saw a mirror.

So, if you had a ball made out of mirror glass, all you'd see is outside of the ball being a mirror, not the inside, because the light source wouldn't be inside the ball. And if you did put the source inside the ball, all you'd see is the light source itself. Because the direct sight of the light source would overwhelm the mirror effects, as each time a reflection happened the light would be halved.
