How about we forget about having next gen consoles all together unless we come across something truly revolutionary and different on the scale of the Oculus Rift that would merit a next gen console.
I've seen the graphics/gameplay for Watch Dogs (the only game besides Knack that I was considering getting for the PS4) for the PS4 and honestly, I think I'm going to pick this game up for the PS3 because I can bearly see a slight change in graphics that others will probably not be able to tell.
I mean, the WiiU is great because it's the first Nintendo console to have HD 1080p graphics, as well as a table for a controller that let's you play console games on it and changes the way to play and interact with games.
I honestly wouldn't mind it being another 5 years with PS3, Xbox 360, and WiiU.
Anyone else agrees?

Massive battles, like 300 people or more on a single map at the same time. MAG did that, but you rarely ever "felt" like you had 256 people fighting. I don't care if the graphics are current-gen, I'd rather have fuck-huge battles like LOTR instead of small skirmishes. Better graphics just aren't going to wow me next-gen, I want things to be BIGGER.
Oh, and make bodies stay there for gods sake. After I've mown down hundreds of people I don't like seeing their bodies disappear one-by-one.

Cross-platform multiplayer. Which would mean more people to play with and more variety in servers. And more variety in ways to play.
For example, say you want to play Battlefield or CoD, and you just want to play a casual game or two on the couch tonight. Then you fire up your PlayStation, and play with all your stats and unlocks from your global account on your favorite PC server. Then, the next night, you've got a couple of extra hours to spend, so you sit down at your desk and play with your clan on the PC. And then, the next night, you go to your friends house, and you two start playing on his XBOX against your guys' buddies from college on their Playstation.
Would that be something you're interested in?

I meant I wanted all consoles to do that, not just the PS4. I'm well aware of the PS3 being region free which should mean the PS4 would be too. However, I'd like to see that happen to every next-gen console, not just one.RicoADF said:

all the twitter and facebooks stuff I'm not interested in personaly and the Internet explorer is really clunky (you really need a keyboard).
but mostly I'd say the online games library needs improving. (not sure what ps3 is like but Xbox sounds way behind pc downloads)

60 FPS. That's all I've asked for. I'm not big on the graphics, not grasping the idea of social involvement in my console, I just want my games to play smooth. Hell, I'll settle for a guaranteed and constant 30 FPS, as long as it stays that way. Playing Fallout: New Vegas on my PS3 is an eyesore sometimes when the framerate just drops to 18FPS because there is a smoke effect coming from a barrel, or Far Cry 3 stuttering because there is so much going on (why they added SSAO on a console port is beyond me....) As long as next gen PS4 and Nextbox can handle that, I'll be happy.
Sega vs. Capcom. That's literally all I want. And with the new Mega Man vs Sonic comic crossover, I hope it's not completely out of the question.
