What fears do you have that either have no visible meaning behind why you have them or are just strange. Mine would be my extreme fear of being sticky, it is one of those things that I cannot stand at all.

I'm kind of getting scared of "Irrational Fear" threads. Seriously, these things are popping up far too frequently.

OT: Buzzing insects. If one flies by me, I freak out.

I have a fear of going up ladders. It's not the ladders or the bad luck that supposedly comes with walking under them it's just going up them make me s**t bricks. Even small step ladders to get into my loft make me frightened.

talking on phones, cold death of the universe. I know the latter in't gonna happen for a long time, but it still keeps me up some nights.

Cardboard boxes, my cousins used to shove me in them as a kid, and have since never gotten over it.

Suburbs and spiders. Gah!

Also, unexplained noises, but more because I always think it's a serial killer.

When things go commando on that part of my brain that generates "Creep" and skullfudges it.

I'm serious, things like the Bioshock scenery, 1950's stuff, etc. That just gets into my mind and makes me go all berzerk and uncontrollable with fear >.<

Not fun.

I don't see my fears as irrational but here goes,
I am scared of people,
being noticed, being followed,
rooms with only one exit,
not seeing a clear exit,
people I can't see but I know is there.

Oh and failing.

Water. At least water I can't see the bottom of, it just petrifies me.

I also used to be afraid of the dark but playing Thief: Deadly Shadows cured me of that.

My irrational fear is that I am paranoid. I live in my parent's basement and I go up and down the stairs many times every day but when it is night time is when my paranoia strikes me the most. When I go up the stairs at night I am not that scared.

When I go into the kitchen and get something to eat and head back down the stairs is when I fell like something is following me.

I don't mean a person but some type of invisible entity. I know nothing is there and I tell myself that but I still get that feeling at night.

All the usual things, as in heights and all. And then smooth things. I don't like smooth things. It makes me hurt. And yet I totally consider my fear of the Slender Man very rational.

Clowns.

I used to have a fear of womens underwear until I was about 22, that was because as a young lad I saw a granny in granny pants. Certainly put a damper on my relationships up till that point.

I think its the job of a parent to freak the fuck out of their children and then give them a loving cuddle, parents aren't as altruistic as they would have you believe.

My dad made me watch The Terminator when I was 6, then when I was scared of going to sleep he told me he was a robot!.

I scare myself sometimes.

Usually my rampant, intrusive thoughts get the best of me.
