In my English class were currently reading a book titled "The last Lecture". Its about a professes who was asked to give a last lecture (Well no duh), which most professes are, but there is something different for him. This really is his last lecture because he had 10 tumors on his liver. He was only given a few months to live. Yes this is true, he died in I think 2008. So it got me to thinking, "What if I were in his shoes, what would I talk about?". Well for me I would probably express my high hopes for this world to my students, and how I won't be there to see it but I will always rest easier knowing my dreams still have a shot of living on. So if given the opportunity, what would you say in your last lecture?

I would drive through the wall of the lecture hall in an incredibly expensive car, pogo-stick my way up to the remains of the podium, flip off the audience for straight 10 minutes, and then jump in the car again and drive off into the sunset.

I'll have to figure out where to work in explosives later.

Fuck a lecture. I'm renting out a movie theatre, putting Halo Reach up, and enjoying my last few moments on earth.

My actual last subject? I'd try and do something hopeful, explain that the world isn't as dark as everyone likes to make it out to be these days. Tell them that they are capable of amazing things, and try and make them truly think about the fact that their life is their story. I'd try to empower people, and change this damn depressing funk everyone seems to be in.

Not an actual school lecture, but a personal one about friendship from someone very, very close to me...the events ended almost exactly like your avatar ironically. I was slapped across the face. Then this person told me ''If they don't believe in you, it's their problem. Do not make it yours!''.

Man I needed it. ♥
That just reminded me of Gurren Lagann lol.

I would imagine given my new outlook on life as it is slowly running out I would have some deep stuff to say.
Stuff that would be lost on everyone in the lecture because they are not dying and thus cannot relate or empathise.

:( I'm sad now.

I think I'd do this. Transfer all of my emotions into my students so I can live on in memory.
