Which were the best moments of your life? High highs. How high were they?
Come on, don't be embarrassed! They don't have to be something awesome to share; they just have to be significant for you, and shared for within you.
I'll go first.

My List:

This doesn't seem special to most, but for a kid how never like cars, and had nightmares from the age of 6 about driving and crashing, the day one of my BFFs said:"Ok, my car is brand new and stuff, but we're gonna take it out for a spin, and by we I mean you, little dude." For me it was awesome.
Again, not something most would consider worth mentioning, but for me when I found out I got admitted in the most prestigious High School in my region, it felt like someone really cared, and truly appreciated me for my true value.
The cool part of the story is that I got the new right out of the bloom with a surprise party at my place.
2 bottles of vine, one of tequila, a champagne, the first season of Heroes, all of Jimmy Carr's stand-ups, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button(cheesy, I know) and my best friend(no, I'm not gay, but we did bounded). Oh and a whole night of contemplating the past, present and future. What more could a bud want?
I hope you guys have better things to do, then to make poor Religious jokes.
Here it goes(the really short version): I was about to do something really, really bad, and went:"God, if you're gonna stop me, this is the time!" And through a set of chained coincidences(I prefer to think of them as a miracle, considering what I was about to do), my plan failed, and no one got hurt, and in the process, I lost all my anger and became at peace with myself. I rebecame the good person I was several moths before.(Yeah, too much ambiguity, and mombojombo, I know)
When dad found out about my suicidal thoughts(that's not the bad thing I was about to do at part 2, but this lead to it; eh never mind #2), he came strait to me and said the loves me with all his heart, while crying(in his entire life, he never said "I love you", to anyone, not even mom + he I never ever seen him -manly man- cry). He said he'd sacrifice everything and anything just for me. This truly, and forever moved me.

So what about your Greatest Hits?

Whether due to a pitiable life or an enviable memory, I can't think of anything that stands out as a "Greatest Hit." I'm sure something's there, but I'm coming up blank.

However, towards the end of July I'll be spending five days at Disneyworld with a very attractive lady, and it'll just be the two of us. It's a Greatest Hit in the making, alright?

I put in a hell of a lot of effort remembering and ordering these memories so you better all appreciate it!

<spoiler=5. Performing at the 02 Academy>
5. Performing at the 02 Academy
About a year ago my band had the privilege of playing the main stage of the 02 Academy in Bristol, which is one of the most prestigious venues in the UK. It was of course a Battle of the Bands and lots of bands were playing but it was still very awesome. I'm more excited about supporting The Fall next month (a band that influenced Nirvana!)

4. First Kiss
I'm actually with a different girl now but I'll never forget this moment. It was the kinda girl who was very hard to get but showed strong signs of being interested. She was pretty and just a really lovely girl to be with 100% of the time. There's something about her that just makes her stand out a lot. She wasn't overly popular or anything, probably more the opposite if anything. But there was something about her individualism and interests that built up a fantastic character. Probably the first girl I fell in love with. I was sleeping over her house and her mum turned up (unforeseen) and we had to bolt. The kiss was at night in the rain whilst waiting for somebody to pick me up. I was 16 at the time (Yeah, I know, laugh it up).

Side note: The end of this relationship can also be on my bottom five.

<spoiler=3. Centre Parks: Longleat>
3.Centre Parks: Longleat
A fantastic holiday resort with wooden but warm comfortable shacks in the forest. Lots of fun activities, one of the best swimming pools ever, and just lots and lots of fun. I've been there a dozen times but two stand above the rest as I brought a good friend to one and another good friend to the other.

My best memory with the first friend is matrix style under-water slow-motion fighting and having bases at various points along the water "rapid". We also vowed to not eat for an entire day. Around afternoonish, we were buying ourselves some chocolate and didn't remember our vow until half way through eating them. The funny thing was, we were talking about the vow whilst queueing. Oh, and several fun games of Yu-Gi-Oh!

With the second friend, I mostly just remember us becoming a legendary team for Dance Dance Revolution. We specialised in the remix of Beethoven's 9th. Yeah!

<spoiler=2. 19th Birthday>
2. 19th Birthday
The only birthday that I've actually put in effort to making awesome. It was a typical BBQ but it's the only time where my best friends, work friends, and college friends have all been in one place... And all for me! Just a good laugh with good music, good food, good drinks, and good people.

<spoiler=1. Music Summer School>
1. Music Summer School
This one actually refers to a number of times as Music Summer School is an annual event (which I've attended seven times). My secondary school have an "activities week" where you have a wide selection of options. The best of which is Music Summer School, a week where you travel to a boarding school, hang out with your friends with infinite resources to take advantage of, as well as write and play music. It's the most fantastic atmosphere you could ever wish to be a part of.

I have memories of legendary banter, getting to know cool teachers on a deep and personal level, tennis, amazing music, swimming, new friends, old friends. Probably the happiest times of my life. At least a third of the people cry at the concert on the final night. Oh, and bonus points for meeting my girlfriend the last time I went.

Forget the chick, you're going to Disneyworld! I mean I\ve dreamed to go there since I was a kid, now that I'm all grown up and can make my own money, I always have this constant problem to save money to fulfil my dreams; heh, at least I bought half of my own flat.
But I'm regressing; you're going to Disneyworld, that's awesome!
*Lucky dude.

Wow, a real super-duper list! To be sincere, I never expected people to be this into the subject. Sorry about making you waste some of your precious time, but the idea of this thread was(I doubt it's gonna pick up any more; eh you win some and lose some) to force people into remembering their best moment of their life and write them down so they can check them out when feeling sad.(When righting my own list, I was initially in a rather bad mood).
If it makes you feel any better, you've helped me regain trust in The Escapist community(it is full of interesting people) + your numbers 1,2 and 4 really touched me(I know I'm an emotional puss, but the way you wrote them left me wanting a biography- I don't stalk people, but I do tend sometimes to be amazed of how complex and varied some life stories can be).
But again, I'm derailing!
Thank you about your interest, and I hope you'll get to add more to your list.

I haven't really had any "Great" memories. In fact due to the crap I've been through in the past 2 years, I can't really remember any good memories.

I won $30 for a review of the month contest, but that's about it.

Not at all. I think this is a really interesting topic and I'm disappointed it hasn't attracted more people as I would love to see what people can come up with when forced to reminisce. It does make me happy to remember these things but I'm pretty positive as a person at the moment so don't think I'll be re-reading my own moments for motivation. But again, I'm certainly interested in seeing what others have to say.

I can only think of two, which is sort of sad in itself when I think about it.

A boy at my school had been stabbed and killed. Even though he wasn't a friend of mine, I knew he was a nice guy and it was such a terrible thing. The end of Year 11 came (and with it the end of compulsory education) and the whole year was gathered in the hall for a farewell assembly, watching a slide show of everyones exploits throughout the past 5 years with some great songs playing in the background. Then, a large picture of the boy came up, and stayed on the screen. The laughter in the room died down ... and then there was a unanimous standing ovation for him. It didn't affect me directly, but I found the moment of unity incredibly touching

I was bullied a lot during high school about something I didn't do. And, being a quiet, nerdy type of kid I couldn't do anything to stop it, or to convince anyone it wasn't true. It went on for years, and felt like my friends were too afraid to stand up for me, or defend me in anyway, or even say anything while it was happening. It really wore me down. Then one day, I was standing around with a few of these friends, trying to eat lunch. The main source of my torment came over, started taking little verbal pot shots at me. And then one of my friends stepped in to help me, followed one by one by all the others. I've never felt more loved, in an extremely cheesy way

Geez, everyone else has lived such fulfilling lives. I guess my best was the time I cranked out an entire history research paper (6 pages) the morning it was due. I got a 96. Next couple of weeks were spent brushing dirt off my shoulder.

* Being invited to play at a rock festival to over 1000 people, playing it and getting 5-star treatment from everyone involved
* The last few tours, all planes and nice hotel rooms, no cramped vehicles or sleeping on floors - bliss
* Realising sometime in my late 20s that I was no longer "the ugly kid" in high school and that some girls did actually find me attractive
* Graduating from music university in the top 10% of graduates, then doing a graduate degree, passing that too, and not even bothering to pick up the certificate because I already had a job in the music industry
* Meeting a pretty girl for the first time, visualising various scenarios between me and her and then actually having everything go exactly the way I had planned it in my head
* Buying property and getting out of the rental market for once and for all, then realising the minimum repayments are so cheap that I can afford them even without my job
* Meeting my current partner and clicking literally straight away, we went from strangers to more than friends in about two minutes

I can never think of anything when put on the spot, but yesterday something pretty cool happened. I had a bagel in the toaster and I was waiting for it to pop up. I was becoming impatient so I pointed at the toaster and snapped my fingers. At the exact moment I snapped my fingers the bagel popped up. That has to be in the top 10 of my life's greatest hits right there.

One moment that springs to mind right away was scoring top grades in my english final exam. 290 points out of 299. Unfortunately that was somewhat let down by the fact that all my other subjects had been raped by the board that grades them, even things like chemistry and physics that I have a hard time understanding how they managed to disagree with my teachers' preliminary grading so much.

Anyway. That's one of my life's major accomplishments.

Another recent one would be taking my lorry drivers license. Due to some unforseen events (and my own laziness), I had a 6 month pause between lessons and taking the driving test. My instructor didn't believe I'd pass, and the examiner told me right off that I wouldn't. However, I was determined not to take shit from someone who barely knows me, so I passed it with top marks.

I felt like flipping the bird to everyone there afterwards.

This year so far has been one major cock-up after another though. Oh well.
