Well, I've been lifeguarding for quite a while now. Usually, the hours speed by pretty fast, but on somedays, it feels like it drags on for eternity. I think the longest one I've ever had was my third day when I just started. The novelty of the first day and second day wore off and it felt like the Rapture would occur before I was able to finish my shift. But since I never got a day off during the summer, I got used to it. Getsugetsukasuimokukinkin. Yup, I work everyday without rest.

Well, one of the tiny jobs I had as a kid was helping out the Herb Grey campaign for one of Canada's top political positions. I had to put signs together. The first day was the longest: 6 hours seemed like 18. I haven't had a workday that felt that long since (although a couple of nights at Wal-Mart came close).

5 or so hours of maintenance out in 90 degree heat. And if you ever need to do labor-intensive tasks in Florida, it's never just hot, it's humid -_-

I worked 13 and a half hour shift on a catering job. Then after work I got pulled over for doing 80 in a 55(mph). Cop wrote me up for 5 over after a lengthy search of my car. I guess the cops thought I was a drug runner or something.

9 hours behind the bar in a Starbucks on the day that the weather began to turn. After a ton of customers decided to wait until their drinks were finished to tell me 'oh, I wanted that iced', I would have cheerfully hopped over the bar and strangled someone.

Holidays at Macca's. They are the worst. We even ran out of buns one time.
