Greetings, fellow escapees.

Since there is a Your unluckiest purchase? [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.381801-Your-most-unlucky-purchase] thread going right now, I hereby present you the opposite: What was your luckiest purchase?

Recently, I bought a camera -- a GE x5, to be precise. Usually costing over 200?, Amazon listed it for 110? -- of course, I went for it. About an hour after ordering, I checked again and the price was down to 80? for some reason. I cancelled my order and then ordered the same camera again, this time saving an additional 30?...this was especially lucky since one day after that, the price was back up to 110? (now it's about 150?).
Yep, neat.

So, what was yours?

Dues Ex: Human Revolution for £8 about a month after it's release.
It's now £12. I consider that pretty lucky. Now if only I could find the energy to finish it.

Well, I ordered Scorpion King 3 on eBay for $20.

It's now gone up to $30 from the same seller.

And, y'know, it's Scorpion King 3. A steal at any price, really.

Kirby's Air Ride for $1.
I love yard sales.
As a child, I picked up Kirby's Dream Land for for 2DM (our currency before the Euro).
And thus began my love for Kirby.

The Gamecube LoZ collection edition games for £15. The thing is they aren't suppose to be sold in the first place (giveaway for a promo ages ago).
At first they couldn't sell it to me and give it a few months time then they wanted to get rid of it. So I pretty much obtain an unobtainable game!

My house.

We moved here a year ago and while it is a pretty rough area the house was nice and it was a reasonable price.

Lucky enough for us I had a decent amount of money saved from my army days (not much use for money when i'm being flung all over the world) and my wife is in a decent paying job and had saved quite a bit so we were able to pay it off pretty quickly.

A few months after we paid off the mortgage the council did a revamp of the area and house prices shot up.

I consider that pretty lucky.

My friend was getting rid of some of his figurines and offered me his big Izanagi(Persona 4) figurines for $80 which normally goes for about $120 without shipping. Now it and Thanatos guard my bookshelf.

I bought an Evangelion model of Asuka when I was in Akihabara for 3000 Yen (£25), because I just caught a glimpse of it in a window and thought it looked fairly awesome.

I was having a clearout a few months back and decided to sell it as I found another model I liked and couldn't keep both. It sold on eBay for a cool £76. Turns out it was a fairly rare edition or something.

I blindly bought Persona 4 on sale for $20. It is now the best blind purchase I have ever made and my favorite game.
