Ah, the humble computer, simple, reliable, and efficent.

Except that it's often bloody NOT! I've been using computers, laptops and internet related devices long enough to know that they can be awesome, but also like to kick you in the gooch with problems, errors, malfunctions, breaks, incompaitbility and more. Today was the final straw.

You see, everytime someone in my house makes or recieves a phone call via the home line, our internet gives out for a brief moment and utterly buggers any websites or videoes you had loading, forcing you to wait for hours so it can reset after shitting its pants. Happen to be loading The Escapist to check out the new Unskippable when the phone rings? Well tough luck sunshine, you cant get back on The Escapist for at least an hour. This also includes being kicked off the goddamn Playstation Network right in the middle of a match. It is inexplicably annoying.

Why just moments ago, I was down to the final thirty seconds of downloading a 300mb Mpeg file that took me all afternoon when SOMEONE decides they need to use the phone. There goes an hour and a halfs worth of waiting. ARGH!

Even this very thread has taken me two attempts because I recieved a fucking telemarketer call right as I was about to post. Double ARGH!

What are some of your tales of computer or internet related woe?

My worst one had me unable to access the internet, my mouse always froze on me, and my computer randomly crashed.

The only one I ended up having to fix was the internet one. The mouse and random crashes just kind of stopped.

This isn't a computer problem, its your internet/phone line. its not VOIP is it?
We have voip and regularly go over our download limit (our exchange is crap) and when we are shapped, the phone always cuts in and out, or just wont work cause someone else is online.

As for actual computer problems cant say I've had any since i had to upgrade my bios so my video card would work (when i built my pc) or when mw2 wouldn't work when i first bought it.
