I'm also curious about Metro: Last Light. I never played Metro 2033, and I am planning on picking it up. I LOVED S.T.A.L.K.E.R., so I figured I would give it a try.
If u like Stalker. u will like metro. give it a try. Stalker is my fav FPS of all time and i have a feeling that Metro LL is going to be my second fav FPS ever.
It has co-op too, I'm interested in how that plays out.

I'm halfway though the 2033 Book

i dont really get hyped for games until they are just around the corner. So i guess for now dishonoured and halo 4. Always down for halo and TWO hitman- type games this year. So good times.

To get the obvious ones out of the way, Borderlands 2 and Bioshock Infinite are on my most wanted list.

Falling into the 'hope they make it good but won't bet on anything' category for me are Halo 4, Dishonored and Metro: Last Light.

Borderlands 2 and Hitman: Absolution (if it counts) are very interesting. I might try and acquire them.

Far Cry3 looks promising, the new Alien game and i will take a closer look at Dishonored. That`s it, but i guess i will play/at least rent the other upcomming FPS like the new Medal of Honor and others too. I like shooting and pretty corridors to much to leave something out.

Metro: Last light - Loved the setting of the original games, hopefully they've made it a bit smoother with the mechanics though

Bioshock: Infinite - I looks soooo goood

Borderlands 2 - Borderlands, I loved it to bits

Halo 4 - I love Halo, 'nuff said

Planetside 2 - Never ending battles you say? large scale maps with more than 64 players you say? Sign me up

Bioshock Infinite.
Ninja'd from the first post.

Bioshock: Infinite is actually the ONLY FPS title I'm looking forward to right now. Admittedly this is coming from someone who isn't really a fan of the genre.

TimeSplitters 4

Nothing will make me change that answer.
I DON'T CARE WHAT REALITY SAYS! IT IS STILL TECHNICALLY MY MOST ANTICIPATED!

Metro Last Light will probably best upcoming FPS but corrupt mainstream media will praise black ops 2 and halo 4 to hell

Even Arma 3 will overshadow and that is only military FPS that matter. black ops 2 and MOH looks garbage

First, Borderlands 2. I'm fully prepared to sacrifice another 100 hours of my life to the gods of Pandora.

Next, Bioshock Infinite. I can't even believe how cool this looks. I've heard that the world changes based on your decisions. Oh, and 1999 (System Shock 2) mode.

After I emerge from cryo-stasis, Half Life 3. Umm... yeah.

Half Life 2: Episode 3 and Project Black Mesa ... I still believe :p

Bioshock Infinite and Dishonored, but even those are more on the side of first person adventure.
All the rest looks like same old, sure Borderlands got a facelift but I got no indication there is much else happening with it.

I'm hopeful someone will take a look at Unreal Tournament and Serious Sam and decide to do a mix / rip-off / one up, because for FPS fun those are sadly still the top games in my book.

Definitely Borderlands 2 above pretty much everything else and then, surprisingly, Halo 4. I wasn't really looking forward to it at all but then I saw the E3 demo and my interest rose quite a bit.

ARMA 3 and Bioshock infinite are about it really.
Haven't played Metro 2033 but I might try Last Light, it looks good.
Obligatory Half life 3.

If I had to pick just one. Halo 4, Reach was the Black Sheep of the series and although I feel it is the weakest of the series in many aspects, it is not "teh wurst garme evar!" like certain Halo demographics would have you believe.

I hope Halo 4 can rekindle the spirit that made the previous games such a success. Reach was a fine game but it just didn't grab me like the others did.

As for other FPS games I have my eyes on.
Crysis 3: Obligatory justify monster PC game that also just so happens to be fun to play.

Borderlands 2: The great art style in the original was wasted on brown environments, definitely a step up.

MoH Warfighter: The original and this sequel seemed to still have what I enjoyed CoD4. Grounded in the real world while still being fast paced fun. Something MW2 and the rest of the CoD series threw out the window into traffic.

Dishonored if that counts
