This is probably a weird one, given the forum we're on, but I'm a huge cyclist. I race in the summer, I'm a messenger for a living, and I build bikes regularly. Here's a shot of the bike I built up a couple weekends ago.

I have several obsessions that I engage in to a varying degree:

  • 1. Warhammer 40,000 novels - I started off by picking up a handful of omnibus editions a year and a half ago and quickly moved on to scouring the internet for copies of every single book the Black Library has ever released. I've reached the point where I have books showing up each month because I've pre-ordered all the new stuff through next year.

    2. Acquiring the complete DVD set of television series that I like but for some reason didn't watch when they originally aired - I watched the first season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Hulu, and then had to buy all 7 seasons (plus the 5 seasons of Angel!) on DVD, which I then watched over the span of perhaps a month. Right now I'm progressively acquiring the complete run of Babylon 5 and Supernatural (though that one hasn't ended quite yet).

    3. Music, specifically the acquisition thereof - I cannot go through even a single day without wanting to buy at least one new album, and if I end the week with only 2 or 3, I've exhibited an amazing degree of restraint.

    4. Audiosurf - I've apparently spent 57 hours playing this recently, and I currently have 735 world records. To say that I'm addicted is putting it perhaps too lightly.

At least the last one isn't particularly expensive (I really don't like to think about how much money I've spent on obsessions 1-3). I'd have added video games to that list, but anymore I don't buy them often enough or play them religiously enough to really qualify as an obsession in contrast to my other obsessions.

The ocean. I just love it there is something so beautiful and mesmerizing about it. The sight, the sound, and the smell I almost need it.

Well, I haven't been able to stop listening to a variety of piano/string quartet covers of Iron Maiden songs whenever I'm at my computer- it's all I'll listen to unless I'm at school(in which case I just listen to the originals).

I can't stop being obsessed with Irish Republicanism.

Seriously! I was a nice guy, and now I'm devising military strategies in my head to get the British army out of Northern Ireland!

[sub]Help me...[/sub]
[sub][sub]YOU MUST DESTROY THE BRITISH SCUM![sub][sub]

I'm pretty damn addicted to playing videogames.

It's been eating my free time since I was 11..

Edit: Subfail.

Maybe you could use splinter cell tactics? Interrogate and scare the leader.
Good plan!

Now, who's the supreme leader of the British forces?

Oh god, not him. I don't even want to go near him! I'll get bored to death just by being in the same room!
Bad idea, he will probably stab you with his black marker pen..in the back! :O

At the moment my obsession is probably just gaming/movies. I used to be obsessed with console collecting, but I can't think of any stuff to buy that won't cost me an arm or a leg.

Yeah, I'm really into gaming - I find I go through phases; I'll play my PS3 non-stop for around 3 or 4 months, and then I'll get bored and stay on my PC for a bit. I've been on my PC recently, but I just got 4 new games for my PS3, so I'm trying to work my way back to that.

Oh, and trophies. Not the real kind, I'm not that talented - the PS3 kind. I just love them. Music would be another - I love discovering new bands and hearing different kinds of music, I feel it makes me a better person.

Kittens. Really

I'm turning into a bunny boiler too :( I'm so scared about losing my boyfriend, it's sending me mad.
I'm working on it though.
My assumption is "bunny boiler" would mean possessive however I have never hard the term, so do correct me if I am mistaken.

OT: Computers or gaming considering I spend every waking moment upon either a computer browsing the Internet or playing video games (less so as of late). I am additionally addicted to hockey and pepsi, diet pepsi that is.
