Your One Perfect Day

So lately I've been in quite a mood. I've had a lot of stuff going on in my relationship, college coming up, and I've been losing a lot of sleep. It's been a good month of worry and anxiety for me. That changed today.

I woke up without any anxiety and played video games for most of the morning, which by itself felt really good. My girlfriend came back from engineering camp today and even though she was exhausted she missed me so much that she showed up at my house to get me so we could spend the evening together. I ended up going to her house and cooked dinner for her entire family and as lame as that sounds it was a really good time. Eventually her parents went to bed so we left to go back to my place. Turns out it was raining.

Rain is by far our favorite weather because it's so rare around here and it's just kind of peaceful. We ended up driving to a restaurant basically in the middle of nowhere and watched the baseball game and shared a slice of pie. It was pouring by the time we came out and we ended up just standing in the parking lot kissing before we finally realized we should get home. We finally make it home and we just snuggle up under my blanket and relax. To put it simply, it was perfect.

The whole day just made me think "I wonder what everyone else considers their one perfect day." So, Escapist, what was yours?

Wake up at Six in the morning on one of those freak deep sleeps where you know you slept just as long, if not shorter than usual, but it still feels like you slept in.

Eat eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast while watching the latter part of the sunrise.

Play video games until the time you usually get up.

Something awesome goes here for the day, like hanging out with friends, going on a longer walk than my previous record (currently holding at 3 hours) or skydiving again.

High-five someone you don't know.

Ribs, BBQ'd pizza or Butter chicken for supper.

Fireworks, sex or an incredible session of Team Fortress 2 until some time late in the evening.

Fall asleep to soft rain.

Dream about flying.

I get alot of really nice days, usually offset by rather bad ones at times. I can't really quite remember the absolute best.

Woke up at 5 am, gone to the farm, harvested some crap.
7am, Breakfast
8am, played an Intense session Of Battlefield Bad company 2.
10am, One of my friends arrive back from Belarus In a new truck. For some reason, we took it off roading.

1pm, decided to go to the local salvage yard to look for hidden treasures, found a Chaika Limousine(soviet Limousine)

rest of the day, Something awesome, Hanging out with friends bloody farming etc...

Waking up early in the morning without being tired, followed by PANCAKES WITH FRUIT IN THEM! Yum yum yum! Then I gather all my friends together and maybe we'll play some games, or just sit around and talk, or maybe play Taboo (just played Taboo for the first time today, man is it ever fun). Anyways, find ways to keep ourselves occupied until the afternoon, at which point we'll go out and play LASER TAG!!! Haven't played it in ages, and I soooo want to right now. After playing a few games, we'll all go out for a group dinner at a nice restaurant. By then hopefully night will have fallen AND it will be raining! Just... Something about driving in the rain in the city is just magical, I can't explain it. Then maybe we'll go out for karaoke or bowling or something. And theeeen back to my place for a sleepover... Yup, that'd be a good day.

Geez, that must make me sound young...

take my wife to Akihabara
then just go wild seeing all that Akihabara has to offer
eat at some place, I don't care where as long as the food tastes good and she likes it
explore some more maybe go to a museum
then go to my new home in Japan and watch a good movie with her
and finally we either have sex or just snuggle and fall asleep together.

Wake up early, noticing you don't have to sleep at all to remain functional.
Notice a parcel left on the table containing retail versions of your favorite games.
Accidently discover dimension travel technology, an infinite energy source and a method to freeze aging.
Proceed to mail friends and family said method.
Proceed to test said technology, discover my motto was true as i fall into Hyrule.
Return to own dimension, begin exploring.
Return to won dimension, possibly with a female inhabitant of another dimension, proceed to write games.
keep writing games all the way to midnight.
