I decided to make this thread because earlier on I was playing Tekken 6, then I moved onto playing fight night champion.
Now fight night champion is as close to a simulation of boxing as you can get, it's insanely good. However, I love Tekken's over-the-top...ness.
So yeah, in your personal opinion. Do you prefer realism/simulation or unrealistic mumbo jumbo?
Now that's a stupid question since a lot of games have a mix of both, but try to ignore that. Just see this question in black and white if you will. Because of course there are games that use total unrealism as an advantage and vice versa... such as Saints Row.
===========================================================================================================
MAIN QUESTION:
Are there any games that was ruined for you by either too much realism or too much... uh, unrealism?
MY CHOICES:
Game ruined by realism: Grand Theft Auto IV. I loved the physics the graphics, truly one of the most realistic games ever, but I enjoyed the goofiness of San Andres more, mainly because if you fire like 1 or 2 bullets ANYWHERE in the game, the cops automatically know it's you and you get a star, gets irritating.
I'm especially annoyed that Rockstar didn't even put a "no police" cheat in-game... WTF Rockstar? San Andres had like 5,000,000,000 cheats. GTA IV had like... 20...
Game ruined by unrealism: Prototype... tanks and helicopters for some reason had rapid fire and just juggled you in the air with explosives until you died, do you know how hard it is for a tank to hit a fast moving target in the air? especially rapidly...
Also, WTF is with the unlimited spawn of helicopter squads? It's not really fun when I can't even bump into a soldier without him spazzing out and calling 10 freakin' helicopters on my clumsy ass...

As I said, this is my opinion. Prototype is obviously meant to be unrealistic... sword arms, hammer fists etc. I'm just saying that some certain aspects are annoying.
Now then... your turn guys...
