Your Opinions about The Final Fantasy VII Remake for the PS3?

Final Fantasy VII was one of the good ones that were made but if you ask me only keeping it to the PS3 would not be such a smart idea since the newest one that is going to come out (Final Fantasy XIII) it's for both Main consoles (The 360 and the PS3) So if they do make it; it would make more sense to make it for the 360 and PS3

I'm looking forward to it, but only because I really enjoyed the game and the Tech Demo showed that it could look a million times better than it did (compare it to 8 and they jumped a LOT in that period).

Personally, if this were to become PS3 exclusive, I would get a PS3 just for it. I hate sounding like a fanboy, but I am what I am <3

But if it's released on the 360 as well, even more cause for celebration.

IRonically that will be the only reason as well to get a Blu Ray player.... it's an amazing game! I still play the original and it's amazing!!!!

I'm surprised they haven't actually done it yet; Sony and Squaresoft like money, right? And what better fanbase to milk for cash is out there but the FF7 group?
As much as I loved FF7 back in the day, I find it rather unplayable now. If they did remake it, I'd hope they fix some of the translations, make Barrett look less like Mr. T, and take out some of the grind and useless mini-games.

If this was really happening it would explode all over the internet in a matter of seconds, so I assume this is just a misleading titled thread. Personally, I'm not sure I can be assed to beat this game again. I've beaten it once, and tried going back, but once you already know the story then all that's holding up the game is the gameplay. And, well, it's a jRPG so the gameplay sucks.

No actually. Not at all. Read the description: "We understand that this is just the tech demo. The title is meant for a grabber to get people to watch it, and get people involved."

Like I said, Sqeenix saying right out that they are remaking it is the only way I'll believe it.

Haha, that's a TECH DEMO that debuted with the announcement of the PS3. I hope you learned your lesson about getting your game release info from YouTube.

Uh, nope. That's just a tech demo that played 3 years ago with the launch of the PS3. They were just showing off the PS3 graphics and getting people hyped by exploiting an old franchise. There's been no actual development on a remake since then.

Did you even watch that video all the way through? It says 'TECHNICAL DEMO FOR PS3' right there in big boldface under the FF7 logo. How could you have possibly missed that?

Uh, yeah...Have you read the description? It's just to show of how FF7 would've looked if it was made today (Okay, the video is pretty old, so I guess that's how it would've looked a while ago if it was remade. 2005 I think it was?)
Damn do I like the rumors that spread when that tech demo was released. Rumors of FF7 being remade just wouldn't stop. Yoichi Wada, president of Square Enix, and formerly Square, has however announced that FF7 will not be remade, and it was merely a tech demo.


I seriously doubt they would remake FF7, and I also hope they won't.

Are you high? That was the Tech Demo for the PS3 when the PS3 first came out from E3. Square Enix has always denied that a remake of FF VII is EVER going to happen. As in NEVER.

Very conflicting, I'd like them to do it, and just get it the hell over with, and I'd be very surprised if they didn't have some masterminds in square-enix at least designing peliminary plans at this stage.

No, not really. Not only is this video incredibly out-dated, this is a TECH-DEMO, a mere show of what the ps3 can do and Sqaure Enix has denied a remake of Final Fantasy 7 will happen, EVER. Please get the facts straight before you post next time.
