For the past couple of days I've been using Google Chrome as my default internet browser, and it made me wonder why so many people hate it! (Coincidentally just now, I've realised Google Chrome's spell checker doesn't recognise the word Google...)

I find it a good looking decent browser, with good speed, and many features that are missing from IE7. The favourites bar underneath the URL bar is much more practical than favourites in any other browser I've used, and the incognito mode is great for not getting any websites you might want to keep secret, kept secret, without having to delete your internet history etc.

Now the only 3 browsers I've ever used are AOL, IE and Google Chrome (Yeah, surprisingly, never Mozilla) so I've not experienced that much, but so far, Chrome is the best.

Anyone else use it? What's your opinion? And if not, why not?

I dunno, I like it for somethings (applications, showing most viewed pages, etc.), but Firefox is my main browser right now. Especially since Quake Live isn't compatible w/ Chrome... yet.

Chrome is nice don't get me wrong, but i have gotten to addicted to the add-ons from firefox, if i go to a random site the amount of commercials i get is astounding...

I've been using Chrome for a few weeks now. I like it. The spell-checker is pretty terrible, but everything else is good. I find it a bit faster then Firefox too, so I like that as well.
Yeah, I like it.

I've been using it pretty much since it was 'released' and I find it pretty good, though I've never really used Firefox. I've also seen Chrome be improved steadily, as it was useless at using Flash (it would stutter lots and die randomly) though it's now completely fine with it.
It's certainly better than IE, but you could ask what isn't.

I've been using it since it was released. Sometimes, rarely, I use Firefox for things that don't work on Chrome, like watch some videos and Quake Live.

Chrome isn't necessarily bad. It's just that just about anything Chrome can do, Firefox can do better (with the addition of plug-ins of course). Firefox can do anything better than you-erm... Chrome I mean.

Before somebody jumps up my ass for being a Firefox fanboy, let me assure you that I try out all of the browsers (by all I mean: IE, FF, Chrome, Opera, and even that godawful Safari) on a regular basis just to see if they bring in any new features that I like. So far Firefox is best at doing what I need (and want) my internet browser to do.

I jumped over to Chrome after Firefox 3 was giving me the shites and I love it.

The front page thing is neat, the interface looks good and the incognito mode is handy.

So I'm going to stay with Chrome because I think one day Google will run the whole world and I want to pick the winner.

At first I thought you were talking about the element chromium, which is what people use to make shiny things. Silly me thinking that would happen.

I never used chrome. Then again, I never really cared what browser I was using anyway.
