Okay fellow Escapists, I want you to tell me your operating system, why you use it, if you wish you had another operating system, ETC.

Edit: I use Windows 7, I don't want to change anytime soon.

Ur. Okay. Windows 7. It's great so I wouldn't really want another operating system per se I just wish all my favorite games from xp and vista were still playable...

Windows 7, came with the computer and after several years with Windows Vista I'm actually pretty happy with this one.

And what about you? It's so dull when people create threads(pointless as they are) and don't even bother to contribute.

I use Windows 7. Waited until it came out before I switched from XP. Vista sucked.

Ubuntu. Don't ask me which one, I've had it for a few weeks.

I don't have it by choice, but that's not to say I don't like it. It's functional, just not what I'm used to.

Fedora 14. it's faster than Windows, cleaner than Windows, and a lot easier to use (after you've gotten used to it). I have Windows 7 on my computer in work though (mainly because some journals, etc. require that you submit documents as in Word formats).

I use Windows 7 on my desktop and Ubuntu on my laptop. I really like Ubuntu, but i'm not comfortable giving up windows completely yet.

Windows XP main, Ubuntu on the side.

Ubuntu is free and fun to dick around with, on occasion. Windows XP because, though Windows 7 seems nice, I see no reason to spend money on it. XP works just fine.

Windows 7 Professional x64 because it looks better than XP but has no real performance hindering unlike Vista, and cause i get it free from my uni (that ones not much use considering i get all the os's microsoft make from them for free...)

Why not...

Vista? - i hate it, it was nothing but trouble when it came on my laptop i actually
downgraded after 2 days of vista
XP - i used to use both x32 and x64 but microsoft more or less dropped support for
for directx (something a gamer needs as you know) so in a way i was forced to
upgrade but glad i did.
