I don't have Video Game dreams often, but the ones I do have tend to stick with me. In this case it wasn't even about a game I'd played lately, but Castlevania Order of Ecclesia. More specifically, another 'bad' ending (the game already has one of those) where the main character is corrupted by Dracula's soul and becomes his new host body, and all the creepiness that implied.
Dunno why it happened, but it reminded me of all the other 'corruption' endings I've seen, and how many players find them so interesting that they'll make sure to see them at least once (case in point: Aria of Sorrow's second bad ending) regardless of what it usually involves. Some kind of sinister allure to going against what the game expects of a heroic character, and of course fanfic writers love the idea (I enjoyed reading a good one for Prince of Persia).
While we've all seen at least one of these happen, what kind of 'bad' or 'failure' ending would you like to see portrayed in one of your favourite games? The corruption of the protagonist into the new villain at the end is the theme of the day as per my weird dream, but it can be whatever you like.
