So the other day i was on a random forum (TF2, i think) anyways i was Bumping for great justice when i first typed Bump for Grape Juicetice. then i realised that i changed for great justice to great juicetice as kind of a inside joke with myself and then i replaced Great with Grape.

So my question my fellow escapians, have you noticed changes in your speach over time and do you know why you changed them?

Being a fan of top gear, I tend to use words that the british usually use. I also quote a system song every time I can.

Tired dyslexia tends to do it too me a lot. Pole huncher continues to come up quite often at work, if only to make everyone laugh after a fourteen hour day.

I've affected a lot of the expressions and noises my ex used like "ai-yah", and "This is super good" etc. I tend to do that with lots of people. I can't help but call people "niggers" all the time, just because that is what my (black) friend used to call me. This is actually less problematic then it seems; people findig me too audacious to take offense.

I have no personality of my own so I sponge up the speech mannerisms of people I spend a deal of time with. It annoys me,but by the time I realise I'm doing it again it's too late to stop and I'm speaking with an accent not entirely my own.

For instance my work mates, do this fake gangster type speech, lots of "Whaaaaat up ma dawg." and "What IS the shizzle ma nizzle?" we're all very white and I'm the closest any of them could come to knowing a poor person. So it annoys me, and yet after two years working with them I can't stop myself from doing it too.

I used to speak my Queen's English perfectly....*sigh*

I've always talked like I'm in the 15th century.

Ever since I was about 6. Freaked a lot of people out.

I think my slang and accent is slowly getting more and more australian, something I don't necessarily see as a bad thing.

I use "what the fish" an awful lot to piss off my manly, swearing friends. Also, being from Yorkshire I replace the word "nothing" with "nowt" (pronounced na-oh-wt) and replace "anything" with "owt" (pronounced oh-wt)

You would be perfect at creating Bayeux Tapestry.

I like to use words, which are seem so stupid and ridiculous that they circle around and become funny again (at least to me)

like coolio

My students seem to think it's funny (or weird) that I use the word fantabulous (fantastic + fabulous).
