Oh, come now. I haven't played the game in months, due to my sister stealing my PS3 for all of January and most of February, but for the parts of the game I played (first few hours) she succeeded in genuinely being charming, to some extent. If the human body has its normal adaptive abilities as it does in life, then even the worst and most physically painful torture will become tiresome over the centuries. Worse still for these theoretical hell-spawn officers, regardless if the body can be torn apart and reformed with its former weaknesses restored, they will have to deal with the recipient's inevitable boredom on top of everything else.
Its my theory that, not just for me personally, that hell isn't overt physical punishment, but a compilation of those little infuriating happenstance that occur at random in real life, all happening one after the other. Every step jams a toe into a sharp corner, every joint aches, every gesture pulls a muscle. The cumulative effect of this kind of torture would be gradual insanity, a much more potent kind of result for all the effort Satan must put in personnel training.

My own personal hell?
The woman which I would love would leave me, not die, but forever leave me, for I would need to become dead to become strong again.
I would lose everything which makes me, well me.
I would be a social outcast.
I would have terminal cancer.
Maybe throw in manical depression.
Insane.
Loneliness.

My personal hell would probably involve listening to classical music with lots of flutes being used, while washing my laundry. I'm pretty confident of that because I'm currently experiencing it.
-Those who believe in universal reconciliation (regardless of their root religion) do not believe in an *eternal* hell as they believe everyone is eventually forgiven
-Pretty sure jehovah's witnesses see hell as a state of nonexistence, not torment, since the soul ceases to exist when you die (oblivion, not torture)
-Lots of people of faith do not believe that a loving god would even create a hell
tl;dr : God exists without Hell for lots of people, denying Hell is not denying God.
Don't get me wrong, I couldn't care less, but you could also be more politically correct than you were. I think it's better if we all strive to be less sensitive and take things in the spirit in which they were given, said, or posted ; )
Actually man, I'm pretty sure that the concept of hell as you're thinking is really the one furthered by fiction like Dante's Inferno and to a similar extent the Catholic Church as a way of motivating people to be good in life. The word hell isn't actually in the christian bible if I remember right (please correct me if I'm wrong). Also:believer258 said:
