So I'm screwing around on the escapist at 1:30 in the morning, and i decide to read my past posts.

From this I have come up with one question: Who is this guy?
Some times my posts seem more clever than I am. Other times my posts seem almost incoherent and stupid. And why do i keep to TVtropes? [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Pothole]

So, this brings me to my question, Do you ever go back and look upon the things you have said in the past? do you ever wonder what led you to say something? do you ever bask in the glory of some brilliant thing you have said? What kind of person was the person who used your account all those months ago to post those things?

I look at my past posts...my early ones are very...neutral...inoffensive..boring

EDIT: hahaha...I looked at one from 2010 where I said "they wouldn't give ME3 multiplayer..it makes no sense!"

Considering I look my own past reviews from time to time to get the gist of the hell I managed to write all of that and not die of boredom, I'm surprised how much better I was at writing long paragraphs without any problems, as opposed to now where I just can't write a review without it ultimately becoming a incoherent mess.

That and I was embarrassingly civil in the past posts. It comes off as annoying to me now and condescending. ._.

Occasionally, when I get bored I reread some of my old posts, or I check my old quotes. I'm generally not surprised by what I read, most of my views and/or opinions haven't changed that much in the last 4(?) years.

Embarrassing and immature. Not that I particularly mind, being 'ashamed' of my past posts means that I've grown and gained maturity.

It's a mixed bag, although typically if I've said something offensive or stupid, somebody else "politely informs" me of this fact, so I don't need to go back and notice this.

Don't see that much of a change... I'm still an arrogant jerk so... *meh*

Though it always surprises me how my first post was in GD, even though I don't post there that much these days...

That's not fair, I don't have any past posts to look back on! To try to answer the question in the OP, I seem to be pretty much the same as I was in the past. That is, a chronic forum lurker.

No not really but I do feel good when I get quoted.
I like it too! Especially if it's someone agreein with me, rather than arguing!

OT: I sometimes do the same, just start reading random posts of mine from ages ago... and I agree! Sometimes I look at the post and wonder what the hell I was thinking to make me say that! :S

I also like looking at what music I post in the 'need new music' theads... then I laugh at the fact that it is always what I am obsessed with at that time! :p

Now you can go back and read the post I just quoted... :p What do you think of that post!?

Sometimes, when an old thread gets necro'd, I look at the posts, and see one where I think -- dafuq? who is this jerk-, oh it's me . . . -_-
That happens me a lot, although it's more a case of weird dejavu, thinking "This sounds eerily familiar, OH WAIT I wrote it!"
But I do get annoyed at how difficult my posts are to follow and understand, no matter how simple I make them and how many times I rewrite them, they're full of run-on sentences and unnecessary rambling.

Happy first post, also, I'm now paranoid that you're stalking all of us.

I remember my first comment, though the escapist doesn't (oddly). I registered in the first place to have a go at a lousy article, which started banging on about Half Life 2's resemblance to some poem the writer had read. I barracked the guy for the undue extrapolation he performed, but my post mysteriously disappeared into the ether. In its place is a five year old comment, featuring a boring defence of Yahtzee.

I think the most time I've logged on any one game is about 100 hours on Persona 3,
though that's kinda just because of the way the game is built.
Runners up are just about every other RPG I play from Dragon Age to Pokemon.
...And maybe Team Fortress 2.
Well, there's my first post. A "what's the biggest amount of time you've spent on a game" thread.

I don't think I've changed all that much. That is to say, I don't say a whole lot about anything most of the time here.

Well you can't improve on perfection, so I see no reason to go back and look at what I've posted.

But in the spirit of this post I did and... more or less the same. My post quality may have improved a little I suppose.

Or not.
