I've noticed this topic hasn't been done in a while so I shall once again pose you the question, who would star in your perfect band?

On lead vocals I'd have Freddie Mercury for his powerful vocals. I'd also throw in Jim Morrison as his low vocals would provide the perfect contrast to Freddie's high notes.

On lead guitar I'd have George Harrison because not just is he a great guitarist but he can play 8 other instruments, including the Sitar which I love the sound of.

On rhythm guitar I'd have Manitas De Plata. If you haven't heard of him then listen to this.

On Bass I'd have Michael "Flea" Balzary. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are my favourite band and Flea has proven, especially in Californication, that he can do funk, rock and melodic minimalism with equal bravado.

On Drums I'd have John Densmore, the Doors drummer, for his sweet fills and the work he can do on the cymbals.

And for the sake of having one more Door I'd throw in Ray Manzec on the Piano/Keyboard/Organ.

I've no idea what that would sound like but It'd have to sound awesome.

I'd have a pretty big fucking band.

On vocals, I'd have Chris de Cinque of Closure in Moscow for the higher ranged stuff.
Ville Valo of HIM for lower range.
Mike Patton (of everything) on everything in between. Three part harmonies fuck yes!

Guitars would be Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom and Jack White of The White Stripes.

Bass would be Christopher Wolstenholme of Muse.

Drums would be Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater.

Keyboard would be Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish.

The lyricist would be John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats.

Oh yeah... Would this work out? Probably not at all. But I can dream.
