I'm probably about as powerful as some of the top contenders in the Tenkaichi tournaments before the skip to Z, which is fairly respectable by Earth standards. However, this does still mean I would get owned by both Krillin and Yamcha, which is very depressing...

EDIT: I can totally live with being Piccolo in the Saiyan saga (Raditz fight) especially considering Earthlings cna fluctuate power levels with techniques. Woot!
