Your punishments.

Recently, I forgot to tell my mother about the plumber not coming today. And because of this, there was some sort of flood in the basement. My mother was mad. She punished me, which doesn't happen a lot, by making me sit on the couch and be silent for one hour. I thought that I could leave about 8 minutes early without her noticing, but I decided to be a good boy and wait the entire hour .

So it gave me an idea. How have your parents, grandparents, or god parents punished you before.

Not so much now but when I was young and still 'punishable' it'd be a belt or backhand and this one comical time a slipper.

They punish me then 5minutes later come into my room and say they are sorry.

I never do anything bad anyway, last I remember I was about 10 and it was for swearing.

edit: Also the punishment was usually sent to my room with no electricity.

I got the traditional, "Go to your room", "you're grounded" type punishments.

yea.
I was actually a "good kid"(all you had to do was say my name, look at me, or spank me once and i would obey for the rest of the day) so i wasn't punished a lot.
Though my dad seams to look for things to ground me for, really stupid stuff too.

I usually loose my Games and i cant go anywhere for a week or two.

But i haven't been in trouble for a long time now.

I never really got punished, my Mom would ground me and then just forget about it. Which worked out pretty well for me when I was a kid.

My dad usually just yells at me, then says sorry after-wards.

My mom breaks out a metal ruler and smacks me around with it. Then she changes the password on my computer, and it remains changed for the better part of two months. At least the password was totally obvious so I figured it out in a week.

My dad would automatically go for the belt, no matter what I did. My mom would either slap me, or throw stuff, like the TV remote. Oh, and they'd both yell at me, and there'd be the occasional grounding.

I used to get spanked when I did something bad. After age 8 though, I never did anything worth punishment.

Yeah, my parents used to punish me alot. In a bunch of different ways too. Everything from time out, to the belt (I'm sure a few people are old enough to remember the giant buckles of the 80's belts), to things beyond that.

Last time I got punished was for driving 30 miles to the next town and got arrested for MIP by the police. My dad, picking me up at the police station at 2am? Hell knows no real fury compared to that one...lost my car for the duration of the schoolyear, was grounded from all my entertainment, the computer, and the internet, and wasn't able to leave the house for 3 months. Oh, and also, the law hit me for 5 three-hour drug and alcohol classes, 20 hours of community service, and just under $500 in fines and legal costs.

My mom usually just grounds me when she's pissed. The standard "can't do shit but sit around and read" grounding.

in all fairness i was never really punished cos i never did anything that bad. i suppose yelling was the extreme of things

i get the same old same old, GO TO YOUR ROOM! IF I SO MUCH AS CATCH YOU ON YOUR COMPUTER OR CELL PHONE! I WILL THROW IT IN THE OCEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol thats my mom.
My dad is like, "so what did you do?" ... "ah well just avoid your mother till this blows over." ^_^ my dad is awsome
