What's that one dream you always have that guarantees you'll wake up in a cold sweat, heart racing, with no chance of falling back asleep for the next hour and a half?

Mine is variations on the same theme, I am faced with impending danger which will lead to my painful death that I can easily escape by running or even walking away, but I am unable to move.

House-cat sized jumping spiders all over my house, in these dreams I can run but at a very sluggish pace like I'm being weighed down.
I hate both imaginary gravity, and dream spiders.

It's not quite a nightmare (haven't had any lately), but anytime I go to sleep before I have some big important event to go to early in the next morning, I almost always wake up late, and rush like mad to get ready. Or sometimes, something else goes wrong.

Then I find out eventually that it was just a dream, and that it's only 4AM when I need to be up at 6AM. And then I end up having pretty much the same dream AGAIN.

I actually have a really weird one. It pops up every now and then, only a couple of times in a year. I'm having an extremely realistic dream, where I do something relatively normal. Then a weird feeling just takes over me. It's a completely unexplainable, but still huge fear. As if everything around me has been.. taken over by something. I wake up, sometimes I even scream. I have no idea why the hell does it freak me out so much, I'm usually not a person easily freaked out.

There was a mentally challenged girl in my 3rd grade class who was about 6 feet tall and would creepily stalk into class and sit on my desk. I was new to the school and no one explained her behavior to me.
Every night for the next year and a half I dreamed that I was running through a cobblestone street, chased by the very same girl only this time in mime attire. In the end she would always chase me up a tree and push me into the river below, griining as I fell.

...
I still dread sleeping sometimes.

Drowning, it's especially scary for me because when I dream that I'm under water, I'm holding my breath in real life while I'm sleeping.

None are ever the same but they all seem to end in my losing half my fucking teeth. It's annoying as hell to wake up covered in sweat thanking various gods that your teeth are still in place.

I had two involving spiders. In one, all the furniture in the house kept sprouting legs and becoming a spider. In another one, a huge tarantula got stuck in my throat and was trying to crawl out. The fronts of its legs were sticking out of my mouth. Most insect infestations count as well, which is funny, since they don't scare me much when I'm awake.

I've been getting weird visions in my dreams lately. A giant skull of a beast of some sort sourrounded by burnt trees and embedded in the rocks. It chants in I think Latin and it's eye sockets glow red. I keep seeing it in my dreams and sometimes in reality.

I think i need therapy.
